Summary: Better than the first two...
Review: Each Harry Potter book keeps getting bigger and bigger, withthis one a whopping 435 pages! However, I found it a much better bookthan the first two, where he spent too much time being persecuted. However the same formula is here, with the denoument coming as the school year ends. And how could any responsible adult, witch or not, keep sending the child back to that abusive family? Yet this is the best of the three, with Harry and his friends standing up more for themselves and each other. I still detect the influence of Terry Pratchett, especially as represented by the "monster book" Hagrid sends Harry. Hmmmmm....

Summary: There's something about Harry
Review: Each Harry Potter book seems better than the last. This one is my favorite. It contains lots of adventure, mischief, and surprise. Harry and his friends are growing up and must face problems that even the adults in their lives can't solve. Will Sirius Black kill Harry? Is this escaped convict what he seems to be? What about Lupin, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and even Ron's rat, Scabbers? Is the black dog that Harry spots everywhere really a death omen, as his fruity Divination teacher claims? Curiouser and curiouser. So far, the Harry Potter series is at the top of my favorite books list. Read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, you will positively love it!

Summary: The Best of the Series
Review: Each one of the Harry Potter books has had a remarkable influence on people of all ages. I have a friend who's parents have read it, I have grandparents that have read it, and I have a seven year old cousin who's read it. Each book has a type of wonderful magic to it that pulls people of all ages out of the world of playstation and busy life and into the world of reading where they can sit down and read for an hour, tune out and forget about the world around them. The endings are always unpredictable giving the books another great quality. The names of the characters are interesting and fun then just names as Alice and Thomas which you find constantly repetitive in books. These names, Hermione, Hagrid, Snape, Dumbledore, are mixed in as well, giving the book some extra character to thrive by. And the rags to riches story of the author adds an interesting touch. The third one, in my opinion, is the best in the series and deserves it's place in the spotlight. Its such a fantastic piece of writing, it really doesn't have a genre. This is the greatest book I've ever read and I hope you'll read it too if you already haven't.

Summary: Getting better and better....
Review: Each time I pick up a new Harry Potter book, I am fascinated by the imagination that each book exudes.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is no exception.

This, the third installment of the Harry Potter series is better than the first or second. This time, the plot twists and turns in surprising ways. It is a great way to learn to love Harry Potter again and again.

With each successive year Harry spends at Hogwarts he grows into a more sophisticated Wizard. Each book that JK Rowling writes has become more and more sophisticated.

Harry Potter is great reading for people of any age with an active imagination, and an enjoyment for reading.

Summary: The ball keeps rolling
Review: Episode 3 of young Harry Potter's life still keeps my enthusiasm.

One of the most infamous prisoners has escaped, and the wizarding world at large seem to think he's headed towards one person: Harry Potter. In his sleep, Sirius, says "He's at Hogwarts". The target is obvious.

Or is it? The mischievous side lands Harry a map that shows all the secret entrances into Hogwarts. This leads him to the most famously haunted house in all of Hogsmeade. Here he learns many truths about his present, his past, and unlocks the future.

Once again Rowlings does not fail to deliver delightful characters and their interactions. She doesn't lose sight of the fact that yes, we're still talking about a teenager, and yes, all the joys and growing pains are associated with that. Also once again, she manages to hide the real truth of the story until the end, where she does a masterful job tying it all together with a most edge-of-your-seat ending that makes it hard to put the book down.

Five Stars. Again. You'll agree. Oh, and get the hardcovers: These are keepers.

Summary: Great
Review: Even though this book is about witchcraft, I am a Christian that likes this series. I understand that witchcraft is no the proper way to live, that God is the only way. This book focuses on Harry Potter, a thirteen year old wizard who attends Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. It also focuses on Harry's best friends, Ron and Hermione. (Pronounced Her-my-en-ee)Great book for all ages. I've read this a lot of times and always find something I didn't notice the last time I read the book. I really love this book and the others in the series. Girls, Boys, women, men, people young and old alike should read this book. Enjoy!!

Enlightning and imaginative, I couldn't put it down. Well woven into the tapestry of the story are the characters families and opinions. So if you havn't read it, this is just another missed oportunity to read something great! -L. Wilder

Summary: Another Rowling Triumph
Review: Every book just keeps getting better and better. Didn't get into the Harry Potter books until the third one was already out. Picked up the first one for my daughter and decided I should read a little to make sure it was appropriate (she was 5 1/2 at the time). Cracked the cover around 10pm and finished it about 5am...couldn't put it down!

Read the second and third ones as soon as I could get them, pretty much same way, in one or two readings. A few months later, the fourth book came out and now I'm drooling with anticipation for the fifth!
