Rating: Summary: Harry Potter book # 3 Review: The story starts with alot of exposition from the narrator. It make me wonder how the other two stories went before this one. I probily should have started with the first one and that is my advice to u. Start the the beginning. All in all Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban is a good story. I probly would not have given a full 5stars for it because it was well written but wasn't that intresting to me. It did however make me wonder about one part of the story where Harry inflated her aunt and broke a golden rule of Hogwirtz. He ran away and found the knight bus. He hopped on the bus and met 2 new characters there. Soon after he met the minister of magic. They went to this old hotel type place called the Leaky Cauldron. There he ate and drank tea with the minister and they talked about what he had done. What made me wonder about his part though was how Harry kept acking like he wanted to be punished and sent to the prison. I was kinda hoping the minister would send him to prison. Anyways im not going to tell what happens next. So you will just have to read the book and find out. =)
Rating: Summary: The Best Harry Potter book of all! Review: The story: Harry and friends are getting older! at age 13, and the third installment of the series, the gangs characteristic are developed nicely. In The prisoner of Azkaban, the story starts off in its usual way with harry at the durselys for the summer. This time, when he gets back to school there are reports of sirus black, the man who sold out his parents, and reportedly hates harry and wants to kill him, has escaped and is loose! Harry is nervous, but as the plot thickens, it twists and turns, and harry learns more then ever about his past, and his parents. Does Sirus want to kill Harry? READ IT! The book is my favourite of the four harry potter books, Sirus is my favourite character. Its the most interesting, because it dives into the past. I personally was on the edge of my seat reading this book, and i read as fast aas I could. It took me about 2 hours and when i was done, i started over and read it all over again! I love the mystery element rowling used in this book, and i think it'd be awesome if she continued to do so. If you like a mysterious vibe for a good read, then READ THIS BOOK. Its creepy, cute, dangerous, and fun! It kept me guessing!
Rating: Summary: A Great Children's Adventure Series Continues Review: The Story: Harry Potter is orphaned as a baby and raised with a mean aunt and uncle and their incredibly spoiled son. However, his parents were a witch and a wizard, and he is destined to be a wizard. Despite the attempts by the aunt and uncle to suppress Harry's magical side, he ends up going to Hogwarts School of Magic. In "The Prisoner of Azkaban", Harry survives another awful summer with his Muggle aunt and uncle, and finally gets to return to Hogwarts for his third year. However, an escaped prisoner, sought by both Magic and Muggle authorities, is out to kill Harry. Or, is he? With many twists and turns, Harry survives and thrives for another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Technical: "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" has the makings of a genuine classic, although it is a little more sinister than the first book in the series (as was the second book, "Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets"). What I found surprising is the fact that I, at age 41, enjoyed it as much as I did. The writing is nearly flawless and, while reading it, the only thing that reminds you that this is a children's book is how quickly the pages fly by. Some of the humor is also definitely aimed at ages 9 to 12, content-wise, but not to a point of being a distraction. While I would not automatically endorse a book that is widely read by children and has generated as much interest in reading as has the Harry Potter series, I would definitely be predisposed to liking such a book. "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" fulfills the hope that started in me when I saw hordes of children lining up to buy books. This is good fiction, and can lay the groundwork for later introduction of more mature mythical reading, like "The Lord of the Rings". Some adults are concerned about the Harry Potter books because of the magical, supernatural content. This surprises me, as children are routinely bombarded with fictional characters and unreal stories, without adults organizing protests. Parents need to sit down regularly (not once) and discuss what the difference between fiction and reality is, including the much more realistic-appearing but fictional violence children see frequently on television and in movies. If a child reads a Harry Potter book and believes the magical content, then his or her parents have inadequately addressed the fiction-versus-reality issue with them. And, such a child, who believes the fiction he or she sees is real, is going to be harmed much more by other fictional content available to him and her than he or she is by Harry Potter and his very fictional-appearing magic. My recommendation: Relax, explain the concept of fiction to your children, label Harry Potter as clearly fictional, and let your children enjoy good, imaginative writing.
Rating: Summary: I was so good I read it again and can't wait for a fourth. Review: The style and the writing of this book just got better. I loved it so much. These characters are more flesh and blood than many real people I know let alone any other book. Waiting for 4, 5, 6, and 7 is going to be so hard and I can only pray that 7 satisfies me enough that I won't cry when the series comes to an end. I love J.K. Rowlings. Her Writing is both extremely clever and with each book, mroe and more beautifl. I am a new life long fan. Lord of the What? Who, a Witch and a Wardrobe? If there is any justice in this world, this will go into the annals of great fantasty series of all time.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE THESE BOOKS Review: The subject says it all. These books are the best books in print. NO book even compares with them. I love them and I have read them all in 2 days or less each!! J.K. Rowling is such a creative and imaginative person to have been able to come up with someting so wonderful. Thankyou, everybody, but most of all J.K. Rowling. Kate

Rating: Summary: The more adventurous side of Harry takes the limelight. Review: The thing that critical people hate is coming face to face with perfection and trying to put it down in some form or another. In most cases, one or two faults can probably be scrounged up from the deepest crevice, and when amplified, they can make your criticism sound worth something. But unfortunately, Harry Potter is perfection to the fourteenth degree--it really could be considered something that is setting new criteria for children's literature. The third sojourn in the world of Hogwarts turns out to be the best so far. Harry, Ron and Hermione once again frolic through Rowling's meticulously fine-tuned world with the usual aplomb, except that everything that has ever been brought up in the prior novels receives a facelift this time around--nothing is quite what you may have thought it to be. While there is no immediate sense of danger felt save for in a few key scenes, "The Prisoner of Azkaban" somehow manages to convey a stronger sense of adventure than the last books, and the few little morsels of actual danger that are given every several chapters prove strong enough incentives to continue the novel into the wee hours of the night. The book also introduces two new characters--Professor Trelawney, the Divination teacher, and Professor Lupin, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts instructor. And if I may say, every scene in which these two characters are in outshines anything that you may have read in this series up to this point. And, well, Sirius Black--what an ingenious way to add dimension to Harry's character. See? All you can do when you find perfection is heap praise upon it, and it's leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. At the expense of sounding even more obsequious, I'll say the following: Read this and move on to the fourth book--quickly. And hope that the fifth installment comes out soon.
Rating: Summary: A whole new adventure with Harry Potter Review: The third book for Harry Potter, written by J.K. Rowling series I think is one of best books. Harry once again has to escape from the Dursleys, because he accidentally lifted his fat aunt Marge who was staying for a visit into the air. Harry found himself traveling on a bus called the knight Bus. Harry stays at a hotel for a little while until he can return back to school. Harry is aware that there a man named black on the loose. He is said to have helped lord Voldemort. Harry is also aware that he could be after him. When Harry gets to Hogwarts he goes though many adventures to try to find out who Sirius black is and why do many dementors were after him. With a little help from Hagrid, Ron, Hermione, the new Dark arts professor Lupin, and the Hippogriff, which is a large mix between a horse and an eagle, named Buckbeak. Harry survives another adventure at Hogwarts and finds out more about his past. Like Harry's parents were not killed by Black, but Peter Pettigrew, who has been presumed dead but really hidden all these years disguised as Scabbers. Black is actually a good guy and ends up helping saving Harry in the end. Another character who has a big influence on Harry (again) is Dumbledore, who has been helping Harry ever since he was born. I think that the theme in this book is the same theme that J.K. Rowling has been writing since the first Harry Potter book. Appreciate what you have. Harry had to live with his evil aunt and Uncle, after the death of his parents who only wanted to protect Harry. Now he makes the best of his aunt and uncles house while he waits to go back to Hogwarts for another adventurous school year.
