Rating: Summary: Harry Potter Review: Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban jail, and is on the loose. Sirius might now be in Hogwarts. He has left two clues to where he might be hiding. Sirius is at Hogwarts and is after Harry. Harry Potter is not safe. Some of the books J.K. Rowling wrote are, Harry Potter and the Sources Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and several others. I rate this book a five stars I thought it was very suspenseful and interesting. I would recommend this book to you to read.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter obsessed girl again Review: Sirius Black, a convicted murderer broke out of the Wizarding prison of Azkaban. The ministry of magic think that he is out to kill Harry so that the evil Lord Voldemort could return to power, and they are trying to do this without Harry's knowledge.
The plot is great and better than the movie.
(I like the movie, but it leaves out too much important stuff.)
Rating: Summary: Azkaban Terrifies Review: Sirius Black, an infamous mass murderer, who killed 13 people with one spell, has escaped from Azkaban, the wizard's prison. A feat considered impossible because of the dementors, the Azkaban guards, nasty creatures who siphon off all happy memories leaving only the bad in their wake. Most of the incarcerated go mad. The worst punishment for the most hardened criminal is the dementor's kiss, a sort of living execution, which Black faces once he is caught. The Ministry of Magic so fears Black that they release his name with a cover story to the Muggle (non-magical people) media. Rumor has it he was a cohort of Lord Voldemort and seeks revenge for his former master-the death of Harry Potter. While on his way back to Hogwarts, the dementors board the train and attack Harry. The new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Lupin, teaches Harry how to create a patronus to protect himself from the dementors while Lupin himself hides a dark secret of his own. Harry unravels more of the details surrounding his parents' deaths and discovers that not everything is, as it 's portrayed to be. Rowling's fantasy world continues to grow as she explores the mythical realms of: werewolves, animagus (mages that shapeshift), boggarts etc. along with creating beings of her own such as hippogriffs and dementors. The blending of the two created suspense and tension that held on until the last page. The dementors by far were the scariest creatures she's written about. I hope they appear in a future installment of the Harry Potter Saga. The story of how they came to be would be fascinating.
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK WAS THE BEST Review: Small note: Yes Kelly (you know who you are) i did manage to write a reveiw here, and it's ha! fourth. Now, i have to say this book was by far the best! I found Mauder's map very funny when Snape wanted to see what it was, and Ron trying to use the telephone? Then There was St. Brutes's Center for incuribly criminal boys... ha ha ha! well anyway, this book was awsome but i was a bit unhappy at the end and what happens with Siris Black (by the way you'd never expect the ending to turn out the way it does....)
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter is better than EVER!!! Review: So far I have all 3 books. And I have to tell you it's the best yet!! It's action-packed and full of more suspence. Malfoy is even more stuck-up than last year. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT!! But I can't wait untill the 4th one comes out!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Review: So far i have read all three book from harry potter and let me tell you that since i was born i had been looking for books like this ones that could transport my imagination to a magic and wisdom kingdom. I higly recommend all the three books and i look forward for the next at least 4 books. And i say at least 4 books due to the fact that harry potter got to stay at hogwarts to finish his schooling, total 7 years.
Rating: Summary: Great! Can't wait for more... Review: So far I like this book the most of the 3 that are out.It is an interesting and a very exciting story.I like a lot the relationships that we see - new and old - that are described, and I like and become emotional finding out about Harry's parents and what really happened.I like the lessons that are clear in this book - like Harry judging and caring for people(I'm not giving away the plot!) despite what others believe,as long as he knows the truth about who is right.Very good reading with an unexpected ending! Can't wait to know what will happen to the heroes of this story in the future!
Rating: Summary: so far the best Review: so far this is my fave. but i have not red part four yet so that may change. anyhow this is really good exicting and fun. it is very supsfull the kind of book that you say you only read one more page and end read 3 chapters.
Rating: Summary: More of the best Review: So frequently, sequels and series never match up to the joycreated in the original. How lucky for us readers that in this casethe expected doesn't occur, and book three is as wonderful as book one. All the tensions and plot twists due to mistaken assumptions are here again in full force, and done very well. If Harry and his friends were always right, they wouldn't be nearly so endearing. Seeing them come to terms with situations they thought would be different is always entertaining. The introduction of new magic gadgets and personages also serves to keep the story fresh. And Snape is as irritatingly nasty as ever.
Rating: Summary: What to do when you've been broomed? Review: So I was layed off. Now what? A couple of friends suggested reading the first Harry Potter book. Even though I am a bit old for children's books, I found that the Potter books found the child within me! I read the first book in a couple of days, by the end of the week I had read all three! I have not been so impressed with children's storytelling since Tolkein's Hobbitt series or Rhoald Dahl's amazing stories. I found the characters fairly one dimensional, which makes all their human qualities easy to understand and their motivations sincere (perhaps with the exception of Hagrid, he's deep!). As a guide for role modeling, parents could do much worse than apply Harry Potter's tenacity and honesty in his personal stories to their nightly reading. I know I'll read these stories to mine. I call being layed off "broomed", which is an interesting term to use in thinking about Harry. Perhaps I too can learn something from Harry's adversity and find the courage to take flight onto a new adventure. Michael
