Summary: Best yet!
Review: Prisoner of Azkaban is easily the best Harry Potter yet, and that's quite a feat! I especially like it because it touches on a personal level with Harry. He gets a clearer picture on the murder of his parents. What is Azkaban you say? It's a wizard prison, guarded by Dementors, who suck the happy memories out of you, and cloud you with your most terriying memories.

The story starts again in the Dursley household. The Dursley's push Harry over the edge, and he runs away. He's picked up by the Knight Bus, and Cornelius Fudge, the Minister for Magic, checks him into a hotel in Diagon Alley. At the end of summer, they go back to Hogwarts. But all is not good. Apparently, a mass murderer named Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban, the man that betrayed and killed Harry's parents. What's more shocking was that he was their best and most trusted friend, and also godfather to Harry. Dementors start wandering around Hogwarts, sent there to protect the students from the deranged Black.

The ending is surprising and satisfying, the perfect way to end a great book. Can't wait until book 4 comes out!

Summary: My favorite HP book so far!
Review: Probably my favorite so far of the Harry Potter series (1-4 anyway!), PoA allows the audience to gain insight (along with Harry!) on what happened when You Know Who killed Harry's parents. The dreaded dementors flock to Hogwarts to search for the escaped Sirius Black, and cause Harry lots of problems; dementors thrive on human emotions, and cause Harry to re-live the events leading up to his parents murder whenever they get near him. Despite this, they give Harry (and the audience) a chance to learn more about himself.

Hermione is at her best in this book, overloading on classes, and stressing herself to bits. And if not for her, justice could not have been served!

We see a more emotional Ron, when something comes between him and his beloved Scabbers.

Quidditch! There's plenty of it in the PoA. I loved every minute of it!

And lastly, Sirius Black. I really enjoyed getting to know his character. It was a relief to find out that Harry has a guardian and confidant he can contact if he ever has any problems. Lord knows the Dursleys won't help him!

All in all, I found this book excellent--the characters all go through important developments, which will undoubtedly impact the following books. A superb effort by J.K. Rowling!

Summary: Harry Potter's WONderful!
Review: Put away logic(that train who is and isn't in the real world...).Put away the absurdity of the all bad-all seeming to win but finally losing Slytherin,I Just Love harry Potter's Book! You're back into school, whit teachers benign and severe, homework, exams, all the old stuff of studiyng. And this in an improbable academic and "scientific" world of Magic. The paradox of it!The sheer paradox! This is for the skeptik (as I am) a satire of the paranormal absurdities and for the lover of alternate realities (as I also am ) a miracle of wonder! Harry's fight against the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets is comparable with Bilbo's and Smaug's from Tolkien, and, yes, whit Beowulf Himself!

Summary: My Favorite Book
Review: Quaditch, magic, spells, witches, and wizards. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban includes all of these things. Harry Potter books are just as good as any movie or TV shows that I have seen. I think that this book is the best one that I have read so far. In this part of the series Harry gets to do lots of neat things that he has never done before. Imagine getting a magical map that tells you where every teacher in the school is, getting to go to a magical candy store, and going on wild adventures. You can get all of these thrills in just one book. I think that you should read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban . I think that you should read this because it is filled with lots of fantasy and yet it teaches you about your life and how to deal with it. If you like fantasy and magic then this is the book for you.

Summary: This book is Divine. Recommended for adults and kids
Review: Rating: 5 stars (out of 5) June 30, 2003

This is actually the first book in the Harry Potter series that I have read. When I picked up this book, I was curious to find out why all the children are going crazy about the Harry Potter series. I can see why now. I must say this book is not just for children. Some adults will enjoy it too (and this one certainly did). If you are an adult, this book might awake the inner child within you. It awakes my inner child within and it almost makes me want to be a kid all over again.

All the characters in the book are designed to guarantee that children will love the book. Harry is an imperfect hero that most kids can relate to. The headmaster Dumbledore is almost like a wise grandfather with a sense of humour. Snape is such a creepy character that can make your hair stands on your neck. Hermione is your smartest girl in class, someone who is a know-it-all. Ron is a loyal companion to his friend Harry. Malfroy is your typical bully in the school yard that every kid loathes (even his father is a bully). Hagrid, a teacher who is twice the size of a normal adult, yet can still cry like a child. Uncle Vernon spits all over your face when he talks.

The last 100 pages of this book is so filled with twist-and-turn that I had to keep reading it until I finished it at 2 in the morning. In fact, I have never seen so much suspense in the last 100 pages of any book I have read. Earlier in the book, I thought the plot could speed up a bit, but by the time it gets to around page 187, the plot really picks up and I could zoom through the rest of the book. One could not help but to feel the mood so uplifted upon finishing the book.

The book will bring so much hope to the millions of children who are fortunate to read it (and to some adults too, I might add). The book is not about witchcraft at all. It is about good and evil, the loyalty of friends, and the courage of one boy with a pure heart.

Summary: A must read out of any Harry Potters!
Review: Read the first 2 before this one but hurry. This has to be the best. Its the one that shows more about the families and summer vacations. This is the best one out of the 4. So hurry up. This is a must read.

Summary: Great fun and super story
Review: Read the first one to see what all the fuss was about... and fell in love with series. More humor in the first one, the series seems to get a little darker as it goes, plots are first rate, the quidditch games are exciting! Can't wait to read the next ones. Each book has its own plotline but there is an overall development of the series as it unravels Harry's past.

Summary: Harry Rules!
Review: Read them in order, of course, but start now. These are simplywonderful books. Kids love them, and they're great for adults too. Iread them to my fifth grader class this year, and I've enjoyed them myself -- simply the best juvinile literature in years.

The third book of the series is a true gem. What had seemed like throwaway lines in the early book come back to show the depth of an incredibly complex plot. Simply briliant!

Rowling makes reading fun again!

Summary: Harry finally runs away
Review: Really, he does at the beginning. He's on the lam because he just blew up the Dursley's terrible Aunt Petunia. You'll have to read to see what happens to him.

Harry's not the only one in trouble. Sirius Black, a dangerous prisoner from Azkaban, the wizard's prison, is on the loose. Scary demetors are tracking him down, but they haven't found him yet.

What will happen to Harry?
