Summary: Approaching a formula book, but a good read anyway
Review: Author J.K.Rowling needs to guard against her strong tendency to write a "formula" book series -- one in which each book has broad repeats of the key plot elements, problems, and final resolution. There are signs that "Prisoner of Azkaban" is leading her down that profitable, if unimaginative, path.

Quidditch is getting a bit stale, the gimmick equipment is no longer a novelty, we're used to various ghosts and spooks. The series is crying out for some fresh ideas, strong adult characters, and some actual intelligence shown by the protagonist, Harry Potter. Too many times, he puts himself in harm's way, and is saved by some deus ex machina instead of his own brains and efforts.

J.K.Rowling: you must try harder. Also, a few minor plot points are unresolved: Why did Sirius shred the portrait of the Fat Lady when denied entry into the Gryffindor wing? How did Hermione attend parallel classes when it was vital for no one to see anyone using the technique that enabled this?

Good, but readers deserve better. Personally, I am looking forward to the movie version, too.

Summary: This is a 5 Star Book!
Review: AWESOME! That's the only word I can think of. J.K. Rowling is pure Genius! I can't wait until the 7th and final book is out. Hopefully, by seeing her success, she will write even more prequels. Harry, Hermoine, and Ron's adventures are so exciting! This book keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happen next. Here in Maryland, we are anticipating the release of the 4th book. I feel like I am right there with them in their home and school. I seriously wish that this world of Witches and Wizards was real! To many, it is. Hopefully this will help you. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!

Summary: For Adults Too!
Review: Before the hype, I picked a copy of the Sorceror's Stone off the NY Times Best Sellers shelf. Ever since, I've devoured each book the day it arrived at the store. Parents, adults, and high school/ college students should NOT deny themselves the wondrous world of Harry Potter and his friends. I've begged, pleaded, and forced my friends to read them and no one has complained. (Well, one person did, but only to complain that he now had to wait for the rest.)

As for any predictions...I think Ginny is a lucky gal. I also suspect that after the last book, the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts will be permanently filled.

Summary: Suspense, Twists, Entertaining for all ages!
Review: Being a guy in his mid-teens, this so called "Children's Book" would not seem appropriate for me. However, after reading the first two Harry Potter books, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one! When I did, I read it in 3 days and it is by far the best of the first 3 and has been rated the top book among the 4 released titles by a poll on the Harry Potter website. It is entertaining, excting, suspensful, and not even a physic coucld accurately predict its ending! Buy it right now!

Summary: Book Three By Far The Greatest
Review: Being the avid Harry Potter fan that I am, I love the four books Rowling has put out so far, but my favorite has to be "The Prisoner of Azkaban". This book stood out for me because of the great mystery and when you hit the last third of the book, you can't stop reading untill you reach the excelent end. The ending its self is a great example of profound writing skills. Just when you thought you knew everything about what happened to Harry's parents that night they died, your hit with the true story of who betrayed them to the dark lord. I would recomend this book to anyone looking for a great adventure as this series will be treasured as a true classic forever.

Summary: The best in the series so far
Review: Book 3 in a series of 7.

It's almost time for Harry to start his 3rd year at Hogwarts. However, Harry is starting to stick up for himself a lot more when it comes to his loathesome relatives, the Dursleys. While his aunt is visiting and barraging him with insults, Harry loses it and casts a spell on her(she starts floating like a balloon). Fearing punishment from the Dursleys and from Hogwarts who have a very strict rule about not doing any magic whatsoever outside of school grounds, Harry packs up and runs away. He gets picked up by a big triple decker bus and whisked away to stay at an inn. He is not expelled however, because Sirius Black, a convict arrested for murder has broken out of Askaban Prison, also it seems he's after Harry. Not only that, Dementors, things which thrive off your fear and sorrow scare Harry like nothing else has but no one else is affected. Harry must unravel what the Dementors are and more importantly, why does a murdering escaped convict want with him?

Overall, it's one of the best in the series which centers mainly on the actual story rather than just going through the year looking at certain events like the other 2.
