Rating: Summary: Definition of brilliance Review: It is amazing how JK Rowling has matured in writing her third book Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. This book, when looked at impartially, is better than the first and the second book combined. The story is much more complex, and the suspense is much more believable. The book describes the adventures of Harry's third year at Hogwarts, and surrounds the escape of Sirius Black. At times, Rowling shows signs of shere genius! The story is much better crafted, so the book is much more interesting. Harry is superb! And so are Hermione and Ron. I read this book once, then I read it again, and it left me even more impressed. Each and every minuted detail in this book connects to the end, which is genius in its epiphanies, and equally funny. Plus, there are thrilling Quidditch matches, student rivalry, and superb humour. Run! Get this book now!
Rating: Summary: Waiting for Book 4? Try T.A. Barron or Philip Pullman! Review: It is extremely difficult to find someone who has not read or did not like the Harry Potter books. And why should that be surprising? These action and magic-filled books are completely original and spark the imagination. The zany school Hogwarts, so much like regular school (teachers, homework) and yet so different (magic, Quidditch) is an amazing setting. The characters are realistic enough to be the kids you sit across from on the school bus. I do have one question, though: Does anyone else out there think that by now, with fourteen year-old characters, someone should have a crush on someone? It'll be a long wait for the 4th book, and I STRONGLY recommend checking out other fantasy books written by either Philip Pullman (The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife) or T. A. Barron (The Lost Years of Merlin epic). Pullman's books are more thrilling, darker, and with more danger and less of Rowlings colorful, flowery magic, so for all you older readers... T.A. Barron's Lost Years of Merlin books are about Merlin as a spirited teen just discovering his magic and the history of his past. I actually liked T.A. barron's books better, because they seemed more serious about magic, and the action was really exciting (not that HP-3 wasn't exciting). ....
Rating: Summary: I love this book so much I can read it a hundred times!!!! Review: It is Harry's third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and things just seem to get even worse for him since the escape of Sirius Black... who wizard and witches claim, Voldemorts follower. First... he sees a dementor on the Hogwarts Express and gets knocked out uncontious... then as the year passes by... there are terrified complaints saying that Sirius Black broke in the Gryffindor tower- where Harry's dormitory is located. Harry doesn't seem to worry about that as much- it was his fight for his life against the dementors. As you read this book... you will get into it like I did! i had already read all three of the Harry Potter books in the series so far, and I am ready for the fourth...if there'll be any. I strongly recommend this book to every one- who likes books about adventure, wicthcraft, wizardry, comedy, and a bit of scariness. So before you read it... prepare for adventure and imagination!ยก!

Rating: Summary: Rara avis Review: It is not often that a writer is able to conceive of a tale that can keep both children and adults enthralled. J. K. Rowlings has done so with the Harry Potter series. Bravissima, Ms. Rowlings; keep it up.

Rating: Summary: And the adventure continues... Review: It is year number three at good ol' Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and what a year it will be! Thirteen-year-old Harry doesn't know what's in store for him ~~ and us lucky readers get to go along for the ride. Seems there is always an adventure awaiting the arrival of Harry at Hogwarts, and this year it is no exception. The ruthless, much-feared prisoner of Azkaban, Sirius Black, has escaped and clues show he is heading straight for Harry. Security is tight around Hogwarts since the Ministry of Magic has gotten word, and poor Harry has a horrible time while being sequestered at the dormitory for safety's sake. Well, you didn't actually think he'd stick around anyway, did you? Not even for someone as frightening as Sirius Black, because now Harry knows a big secret and it doesn't seem right just to sit idly back. The third installment of Harry Potter's adventures is every bit as good as the previous two. Plenty of action to satisfy even the pickiest of readers. We get to learn a lot about Harry and his family this time around, plus Hermoine has a little secret of her own. Excellent writing and imagination poured into the pages of this one. J.K. Rowling has outdone herself once again, leaving fans with bated breath for the next in the series. Harry Potter simply gets better with age.
Rating: Summary: The Magical Saga Continues Review: It seems almost ridiculous to be writing this review. There are over 1,700 others ahead of me and if you are already a Harry Potter fan, then you know how wonderful this book is going to be; and if you are one of those who believe that the series is evil, then that's exactly what you are going to assume this book will be, without even reading it! As with the previous two books, I loved every single page - I still can't believe how totally wrapped up I can be in what is essentially a childrens' series. It's magical, it's mystical, it's fun - hey, it's Harry!
