Rating: Summary: Confessions of an adult fan: Review: I'm a 45-year-old professor on faculty at Stanford University. Thank goodness I have kids, so I have a ready excuse to buy the Harry Potter books. With this latest book, my wife told me I wasn't to touch it until the kids had finished it. However, these books hook the reader on the first page. As a result, the day it arrived I waited until the family was asleep, then locked myself in a bathroom until 4:00 am to finish Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. As was also true for the first two books, the writing is marvelous, the characters are engaging, and the the author again spawns delightul creations from her infinitely inventive imagination. I'm the biggest Harry Potter family in my house. Shhh, don't tell my kids!
Rating: Summary: The best book I ever read! Review: I'm a big reader and was looking for good book in the school library and my one of my favorite people in the world, our librarian, suggested I read this series and ever since then I've been cheering right along with Ron and Hermione at Qudditch matches and fighting everday problems like Draco Malfoy and Prof. Snape. I can't wait to read the rest of his adventures! This is definetly the best book that I have read and would anyone who is not sure about it that it is a perfect book for anyone who is into adventure and excitement.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!! Review: I'm a girl from a little known town in California. I first saw the first book in the series at a bookstore and decided to give it a try. Anything with Harry Potter is excellent!! I absolutely LOVE the books!!! They are so original and creative. Each book gets better as it goes on. I will read the book a million times, or maybe even more. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is must for everyone!!
Rating: Summary: Boring middle, but great beginning and ending Review: I'm a grown-up and I like all the Harry Potter books, but I think they all get kind of boring in the middle. They all have great beginning chapters and really exciting end sections, but the middles drag on. This Harry Potter book was the best one AND the worst one yet. The middle was the most boring of any of them, but the ending was the most exciting. So if you start reading this book, and after a while you think it's getting boring, try to keep going, because it gets really good again at the end. Or just skip a few chapters. After a while it gets good again.
Rating: Summary: It's AWESOME!! Review: I'm a Harry Potter fann from India.I just adore Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban.I like it the best among the Harry Potter series.Jo Rowling's writing is just SOOO thrilling!I felt I was in world of fantasy, adventure, mystery and magic......I really recomend this book for people who appreaciate glamorous books!!
Rating: Summary: Great book for adults and older children Review: I'm a mom that read the first two books, and enjoyed them very much. This is indeed the best of the three, and I couldn't put it down, and could not stop thinking about it after I had finished. However, I will not let my 10 year old read it yet. It is much darker and more mature than the other two, but is still an incredible book.
Rating: Summary: The best children's books I've read since I was a kid! Review: I'm a nineteen year old college student, and the only reason I read these books was because I worked in a bookstore. And now, I'm making all my friends read them, even though they think they're too old. Well NO ONE is too old to read these books. They are fabulous (and I mean that in the most literal sense of the word). I read the second and third in under a day each. I intend to give these to every child in my family from now on. I cannot say enough about these books. READ THEM!!
Rating: Summary: Spell-binding! Review: I'm a teacher so I decided to read Harry Potter & the Scorcerer's Stone to see what all the hoop-lah is about. After reading all three of her Harry Potter novels, it's easy to see how Rowling's fascinating books made it to the New York Times Bestseller List and why they are the favorite of children AND adults everywhere! Rowling has done a cosmic job creating Harry, as well as the various other young wizards and witches of the Hogwarts School. The reader can almost feel the sensation as Harry and Ron vanish through the wall to get to platform nine and three-quarters, feel the tickle as a young wizard accidentally walks through Nearly-Headless Nick (one of the many ghosts that resides in Hogwarts), feel the thrill as Harry leads his team to victory in Quidditch, or feel the numbing cold as you-know-who makes an appearance or the dementors come walking by. Peaked your curiousity? I would recommend this book to any parent and child looking for a fun, intellectually-stimulating, imaginative book to read!
Rating: Summary: The best Harry Potter yet! Review: I'm a ten year old boy who has read all three of the Harry Potter books this year. I feel that each book is better than the last, and this one is the best one yet. Harry Potter is now in Wizard school and he has lots of adventures there. There are really cool transformations of characters and you really want to keep reading to see what happens to them next. I can't wait for the next book to come out! I recommend it highly to all kids (and parents too!).
Rating: Summary: Best of the Four Review: I'm a total fantasy junkie but when it comes to Harry Potter I'm a bit critical becuase in my opinon it really isn't a great fantasy series. However, the POA book is the exception to the other three, even though it doesnt deal with as much magic as other fantasy books it is very thrillig. The plot twits and turns and what you would never expect to happen does! I love this book and even though I'm not a big Potter junkie this book is definatly one of my total favs!!
