Summary: in my opinion the best so far!
Review: i thought this was better than the chamber of secrets but alot of people don't. by all means all the books in this series are very exciting. and im going to read the first three books over and over until the fourth comes out. the reason i thought the third was better than the second is that it told more secrets.... but the second had more fighting so that made the second book awesome! and the first was good too. i think they get better as they go along.

i strongly suggest that you read the books in order, because that way you will understand them alot more. some of my friends read them not in the order they go.... and i dont think they enjoyed them as much as they could.

people of all ages should enjoy. im almost 13 and these are the best books i ever read. same with my friends. same with my 7 year old brother. same with my 10 year old sister. even adults should read these.

and like they say "dont judge a book by its cover". i thought my sister was crazy when she told me she was reading the harry potter books. i never would have thought i would read a fastasy book about magic..... ITS MORE THAN MAGIC! much much much more. so if you dont think you will like it, like i did, i say you try the first book. and maybe at first its not very exciting... BUT STICK TO IT.

Summary: The suspense kept me up all night wanting to read more.
Review: I thought this was the best book I've ever read. It was very suspensful and made me never want to put it down. The suspense made it so instead of reading 1 hour, I read 3 hours a day. I think this book is good for anyone 10 and up.

Review: I totally enjoyed this book more than the previous two.. this one has more magic.. more complicated issues .. definitely scarier .. you feel that all the children are older.. more mature and more involved and waiting for their chance to try their magical powers ...

Summary: Great reading for adults and children
Review: I truly enjoyed this book most. I like Sirrus Black and the way the book traces Harry's family tree.. I had to write a paper on controversies and I wrote about the Harry Potter series. My son enjoys the series as well

Summary: The best I have read yet in the series
Review: I truly thought I had the villain figured out in this one and Rowling led me on enough to keep me convinced. However, the ending of this book foiled my predictions and proved to be the most satisfying finish of the first three books. I was thrilled as everything unraveled, and in an astonishing way. Furthermore, I could not help but consider Harry a close friend by the end of the book as I imagined what future adventures he will have in number 4.

I was a little wary of book 3, thinking it would falter without Voldemort being the main antagonist. However the conflict rolled out nicely towards the end and made the last one hundred or so pages move rapidly. I had no desire to stop digesting the work

Things are looking up for Harry in his 3rd year. He finally seems to have hopes for the new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, Lupin. He is given the best broom out there by someone mysterious. Hagrid is teaching a class. Everything seems perfect. But not so, Sirius Black has escaped and is hunting Harry. Hogwarts is surrounded by Dementors to keep him out, but Harry's experience with them is one he would rather forget. Hagrid's teaching position is even threatened because his Hippogriff, Buckbeak is scheduled for execution for hurting Draco Malfoy. These conflicts are well developed in this book of the series, forming enticing subplots which eventually all wind back together to create an ingenious work of art.

Summary: Harry as a role model for 9-12 yr olds
Review: I understand some parents object to this book series because of the "evil" & magical components. It's fantasy folks. It is also written in such a way that the targeted audience can readily recognize this. Harry cares about being a good student, he is loyal to his friends, basically honest and trustworthy despite a difficult early childhood. My son, age 10, has found a motivation for reading on his own that never existed before. this love of reading far out ways any imaginary exposure to supernatural, fictional characters. Buy it the child in your life will appreciate it for years to come!

Summary: A captivating book that leaves you begging for more
Review: I usually don't like to read books when I don't have to but when everyone kept talking about Harry Potter I couldn't resist! Of course, I was immediatly hooked. I've read all three books and the third one is definetly the best one! Many secrets will be revealed; no one will be able to resist this book! I can't wait till July for the next book!
