Summary: How Much Time Do You Have?
Review: There is a very good reason this book took so much time: It is long. And then you really have to know a bit about the previous adventures. Have you read the earlier books? If you are a young reader, I would advocate reading them first. Do not rely on the films. Not all characters ( nearly headless Nick or Doby the emancipated Elf) appear fully realized in the films. Invisibility cloaks, griffins and owl messengers ( AND OCCASIONAL SCREAMERS: PRIVATE SCHOOL ALUMNI WILL RECOGNIZE THE LETTER GENRE) are also important. Then too we all remember those especially nasty teachers/coaches/prefects, and the fun of empty corridors at night!
Yes this is more Potter fun; and given Harry's age (terrible early teens and undifferentiated hostility) it also strikes a parent as having a special level of truth. But in this case the school authority figures really are as dull, "whatever," as they seem to most teen/pre-teen students.
If you have children this age (12-14) or if you are in this age bracket read this book. Maybe read the earlier ones too. It is a great mix of the fun and reality of growing up.

Summary: Potter Mania...will it ever end?
Review: Unlike the previous 4 books in the series, 'The Order Of The Phoenix' takes on a more darker and deeper side.
Harry is definitely taking on far more emotional pressure and mental strain than ever before and this novel is gripping and more 'moving'.
Once again we are transported to the magical world which J.K.Rowling creates through her spell-binding words, and 756 pages later we are still mystified and truthfully, begging for more.

Summary: Rowling writes her best yet!
Review: This is one of the most amazing books of our time, and a treasure for people of all ages. I was recently flying and past an older man with the Order of the Phoenix. I asked him how he liked it so far, and replied, "This is one of the only young adult books that has kept my interest, and would recommend this to anyone." It's obvious that these books keep getting better and better. Why else would people continue to read them?

Summary: BEST AGAIN
Review: Once again JK Rowling has done a perfect job. Even it is not the best book in Harry Potter Series, it is the second. You can't leave your book! It is the longest book I have ever read(because I'm 14 years old), but it is the book that I've finished fastest. But be careful, you need a free time because you wouldn't leave the book!

Summary: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Review: This book was as good or better than the fourth. I just finished this book today and it was very good. There were a couple bad things about but it was still good.

The Bad Things:

1. The person most people probably wish would die sadly doesn't die.

2. Harry had seems to have canged a little since the 4th book. Lots of time he becomes very angry and not very pleasnt. But who could blame after what happens?

Overall this was still a very good book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat (or whatever your sitting on) through most of the book. The movie should be very interesting.

Summary: Darker, more mature, still uneven
Review: After seeing the first two movies, I devoured 'Azkaban' and 'Goblet.'

The books get progressively darker and mature, and this is the darkest yet. The imagery is outstanding, the setup wonderful and the payoff worthwhile.

Still, this book displays some of the uneveness of 'Goblet' - pulling you quickly through several chapters before slowing you down only to speed up again. But the depth, richness and detail found in the slower sections makes a complaint on pace minor indeed.

An excellent book.

Summary: Back to the dark ages
Review: I enjoyed it but I thought it would be much better. The new characters are fantastic! The old characters a good too but it is more about Harry than anybody else, and he is one angry and stubborn boy. He blames everybody when it is most of the time his own fault. It is also dark and depressing and to add to it - something really sad happens at the end. I gave it only three stars because the book was a bit disappointing to me after years of waiting. I do recommend it though, but I think it is more for adults now than children.

Summary: Bloody Brilliant
Review: Some say its was to long but this book was perfect. This book needed to show all the things happening. Which was Ron and Hermiones relationship was growing closer and then Harrys and Luna took a twist at the end. They had to introduce new characters such as Dolores Umbridge and Luna Lovegood since they both play huge parts in the book. And then harry had to develop his relationship with Siruis even more so it would make it harder for harry when he passes away. And then they had to build harrys and dumbledores relationship and that was by making harry hate him which will later bring them closer. Then they had to describe so much in the book since there are soo many things going on.
