Summary: Read it in one day!
Review: I waited at midnight to get a copy of this book from the bookstore. The moment I got home I read it until I finished it. I must say that J.K. Roweling outdoes herself this time. It is beautifully written and has a very good and surprising ending. I would recommend this book to anyone, child or not, (I fall into the latter category).

Summary: What can i say...... Its a POT of gold
Review: To summarise my reivew in 3 words, "" Very very good ""

Read it, enjoy it, have a cup of coffee, feel great that u are the early owners of the book and wait for the movie companies to ruin the book with sound effects like the matrix and poorly shot scenes.

Summary: A worthy sequel
Review: I've been a big Harry Potter fan for quite some time and have eagerly waiting for Order of the Phoenix to come out. I wasn't disappointed. Although the book is almost 900 pages long, Rowling still manages to keep the reader interesting by colorful characters, plot twists, and dashes of humor to lighten up the overall dark tone of the book. I won't give any plot details away but I will say that Rowling included one nasty surprise towards the end... I highly recommend this book for its easy to read prose, imaginitive setting, and characters that any child or anyone with the heart of one can relate to.

Summary: Couldn't put it down
Review: I just spent the last 8 hours reading this book from cover to cover. It is very dark, very complex, and very satisfying.

I don't want to ruin any part of it for the readers who are still getting through it, so I won't mention any plot details. I think fans of Harry Potter who have read all of the previous books more than once (or twice!) will absolutely LOVE the references to past characters, places, and (especially) incidents between characters.

I'm not sure how young children will react, so parents may want to read it first if they are worried. Not a pre-requisite, just a precaution.

Enjoy everyone!

Summary: And it all keeps getting Darker - No Spoilers
Review: This was written well, keeps in tone with the other stories, and adds more facets to the literary shining that is the Harry Potter 'world'. Rife with political intrigue and heavy 'who do you trust now?' storylines the plot has gotten far more psychological and dark.

I was however very upset that the character who dies happens to be one of my favorites. Not only is this person a fan of Harry's - as was disclosed by J.K. Rowling - but Harry was also a fan of this person. I'm trying not to get emotional over this!

Those who feel that Harry gets away with things too much and too often will enjoy this sequel.

Local newspaper reviewers have made comments that this was a dull book with nothing new to it. Well! -
1) Within the first hundred pages nearly ten new characters are introduced
2) The plot starts congealing so thick you might want to invest in a chainsaw
and
3) What do you expect? Harry to open a cabaret featuring house-elfs with Hermione writing their lyrics, Fred & George making the costumes, Hagrid as bartender, and Dumbledore doing an act where he hums while rocking back and forth on his heels?

This is the fifth book of a reported seven! There is no way that the author will change the entire story at this point. And if that's what you want, try a different series.

Summary: The Magic Continues
Review: This book was even better than the Goblet of Fire. Sure, at 800+ pages it may be a little long for younger kids, but for older kids as well as adults it is a quick and highly engaging read. I won't reveal any twists but I will say that there are tons of cool new creatures and a really good plot. Hats off to Mrs. Rowling!

Summary: What a great read
Review: After waiting 3 yrs for this book I can honestly say the wait was worth it. I finished the book in 10 hrs & enjoyed every minute. While the story is darker than the previous 4 it does have some lighter moments thanks to the Weasley twins. The much talked about death in the books happens near the end which makes the reader turn the pages all that faster (won't reveal who it is). There are some questions that will have to be answered in the upcoming books & hopefully we won't have to wait another 3 yrs. All-in-all a very good read.

Summary: So far, so good!!
Review: I just recieved this book today, and can't put it down. I of course bought it off of Amazon, and buying it was one of my greatest moves. It just came out today, and of course I'm not done, but I'm reading it enjoying ... each page!

Summary: another great Harry Potter book
Review: I'll keep this deliberately vague, so as to not spoil the book for those who haven't read it. I just read "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" in a day, because I had to get through and find out what happened. J.K. Rowlings does a good job of giving us more insight into the magical world, and this book goes more in depth than the previous ones did. I was expecting it to be horribly dark and full of deaths, but I was surprised that it wasn't. I think that younger kids may be a little unsettled by it, but there wasn't a lot that would be considered really scary. A little disturbing for some kids, but not too scary. I enjoyed finding out more about Neville, since he's more prominent in this book. In fact, Rowlings fleshes out many of her characters in this book, so that some who have been barely mentioned in the previous stories are given more of a role in this book. The ending gave me some information that I'd been curious about all along, and I won't give more detail than that so that I don't give it away. I found it to be an enjoyable read, and now we'll have to wait another few years for book six!

Summary: 14- year old Potter fan
Review: I just finished the book and it was BRILLIANT!!Non-stop action...full of surprises...and so many plot twists that I'm getting dizzy. This book is by far the best I've ever read. Get it as soon as possible because I don't know how much longer I can keep my mouth shut without blabbing any spoilers out.
