Summary: Excellent
Review: Read it in less than 36 hours. It is a great book, but surley darker, with an explosive Harry at times. It goes much deeper into Harry's background and issues he is dealing with while growing up. It's easy to imagine exactly the places JK writes about due to copious amounts of detail!!! I really cannot wait for the next book!

Summary: Harry Potter and the Order of the Undeveloped plotline.
Review: Ok, so it's the 5th book, and the first chapter is MARVELOUS! I must say, it ended with a bang and was full of suspense and action...and then the story kicked into low gear. It's long. And it is very much an ending to the 4th book, but I'm afraid that it carried the weight of a book that was thrown together with bits off the cutting room floor. I get the feeling from it that the author was pre-occupied in writing this story. I'm a huge fan, I own all four previous years in Hardback and on CD and I love them. My favorite story remains "Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban". Unfortunately I can't give details of what made the story drag for me, not without spoiling it for you. I would say, Buy this book if you love Harry. It'll be needed to get into the 6th book, but don't start reading the series here.

Summary: Whoa.
Review: This book is amazing, simply amazing. Taking the baton in the Harry Potter marathon very gracefully from Goblet of Fire, we hit the ground running and continue. As not to leak any part of the book that those of you who've not read it would not like to know, I'll leave my review on the vague side.

I got caught on the Harry Potter frenzy a while back, but until I finished the pages of Order of the Phoenix, I had no idea how deep the series to truly was. OOTP drags you through every emotion you thought you had, along with some that very few books have ever manages to evoke in me.

Back in our young unlikely hero, Harry Potter, along with his usual cast of friends. But as Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone showed a (generally) "normal" year at Hogwarts, we see a year now that is far from. Long gone is the safety of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and through the whole book, you'll rarely find a moment where things feel "comfortable."

I had this book in my hands at midnight the Saturday the book was released, and finished it on Sunday, reading straight through. This book is one which will grab you and rip you through the pages into the world of the wizards. Purchase this book, and prepare to fly.

Summary: Bravo Ms Rowling
Review: Fantastic book. Really really good!! The start may seem a little slow perhaps, but once you get into it you WILL find it impossible to put down...I spent all day reading it, and when i had to do stuff, i took it with me round the house, refusing to put it down...i wouldn't advise it though, you tend to bump into a lot of things...
Anyway, the book is actually quite sad, i couldn't help crying in some parts. The emotion stuff was great, like Harry's temper, and when he didn't get a badge like ron and hermione...Especially then end of chapter 37...that was heart wrenching. So all in all, Excellent book, definately well worth it.

Adieu...hem hem

Summary: Best book yet.
Review: no words can describe this book.
it was literally amazing.
VERY layered, emotional.
more so then all the other harry books, which i appreciated a lot. It gave more meaning then, oh 'happy free harry potter'
i don't think i've ever cried during a harry potter book, but i cried various times throughout reading this
i was in a state of shock a lot too.
also mad.
stunned.
angry.
sad.
and it was HILARIOUS at some points too.
funniest book yet!
it was bloody brilliant. :)

Summary: up to par
Review: It's a good book. The tenor is different than that of the previous four, but hey, it's the fifth year and times are changing for our pal Harry. I have to defend him. No one can be ever-cheerful in dark times. He's got a full plate. But there are also a lot of places where I laughed out loud. As usual, there are several new twists that will lead into the next book, and there's also a new character whom I think may play a major part later--who knows? Happy reading.

Summary: Not as good as 3 or 4
Review: While the book provides an opportunity to spend a few hours re-living Harry's life. It isn't a great read. Much of the story refers back to previous books or foreshadows items that we hope will be resolved in books 6 & 7. This story doesn't leave the reader at the edge of their seat, it is much more predictable. I would recommend it to Potter fans as it gives you tidbits of hopefully 2 better books to come...

Summary: AMAZING!
Review: I could not put this book down!! I got it at 5 PM on the 21st and finshed it after 10 hours of reading. It is the best book I have ever read. Surely Rowling's best yet. It was worth the wait, but I hope the sixth comes out soon because the end leaves me yearning for more. I would recommend this book to anyone, of any age, but would strongly suggest having read all four books before this, and would also suggest having recently read the 4th book or at least the end of it and then jumping into the 5th. Amazing book, can't rave enough about it. Save a lot of time before you start tho, you won't be able to stop until you're done!!

Summary: the plot thickens...
Review: In this book, the tone differs from the rest of the series. The focus is less on Harry's thrilling adventures and more on his development. He is growing up, and this book documents a rough entry into adolescence. Though its longer, and not as action packed, it is still as entertaining and easy to read as the previous four. The characters become MUCH more complex, and I personally can't wait until the sixth and seventh books- we're in for a real treat when Rowling combines the deep, complex characters and twisting plot!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Magical!
Review: Whatever you were expecting, this will blow you out of the water! This new book in the Harry Potter series has a wonderfully fresh style, very different from the previous four. The story line is much more serious and you will get a deeper look into quite a few of the characters as well as being introduced to some new ones. The emotions run high and many secrets will be revealed and more tantalizing questions are posed that leave you hanging and waiting breathlessly for the next book.
