Rating: Summary: One more adventure to experience Review: One more adventure to experience Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix J.K. Rowling Harry's having weird dreams. Mr. Weasly is attacked by a snake and a long dark corridor that leads to an odd room. Why is he clutching his scar and rolling in his sleep. My favorite character is Cho Cang Harry's crush. This is my favorite part, "Cho! Hey Cho!" Harry ran after her catching her halfway up the marble staircase. "Er- d'you want to come to Hogsmade with me on Valentines Day?'" "Oooh, yes!" Cho said, blushing crimson at him. I like this part because Harry finally has the guts to ask Cho out! The kind of person who would like this would like action, thrills, and laughs! I would give this 2 giant Hagrid size thumbs up! It's awesome! J.K. Has written this book very long... and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love long books! It gives me a challenge. In my opinion J.K. has done a miraculous job on her books. I think she should keep it up! I'm glad she might write books about what Harry does in his grown up life!
Rating: Summary: Order of the Phoenix - The best one yet Review: This book is very good, it takes hold of you from the start and keeps hold of you till the end. I enjoyed this book a lot, and think is the best Harry Potter book yet. J.K. Rowling really suprised me when she killed one of her characters, it adds a fine twist to the story making it one of the most addictive books I have ever read. You will enjoy it from the beggining to the end and will leave you asking for more.
Rating: Summary: Worth the wait! Review: This new book was certainly different from the first four books in the series, but I wouldn't call it fast paced, Since the first part of the book was pretty slow going at times. Still and all my kids couldn't put it down. It's a very good book, with new characters, and many surprises. For those of you who have read this book, I'm sure you enjoyed it as much as we did. From Harry's feeling of being left out of something in the summer, to Harry's most awaited first kiss. I recommend this book for all ages. ...
Rating: Summary: This installment was worth the wait..... Review: I feel this book in it self the best worth waiting for installment for the series. Harry get a little bit rebellious and cocky. Dudley is now muscular instead of fat and porky. Now I thought he would be more of a challenge for Harry but Harry kept him at bay. Though out the whole book where a bunch of surprises especially Harry parents and the unexpected leave of absence from Dumbledore. I'm always shocked and surprised every other chapter. Well, I can't wait to read part 6 and it may be a few years when that book come out but I be waiting for it.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST SERIES Review: I read the Harry Potter series over the Christmas break, as a break from the tedious reading of college. I only read the books to see what the hype was about and I fell in love with the Harry Potter series. I couldn't put down any of the books, and the last book, Order of the Pheonix, was the best one, although the saddest. My heart broke with Harry and I felt his sadness, his fear, anger and every other feeling he or Ron, or Hermoine felt. J.K. Rowling did a wonderful job bringing the reader into the world of magic, inveloping us into the characters lives. As soon as I finished the fifth book I wanted to rush out and get the sixth book and then the seventh. I wanted to find out what happened to each person in the series and I am sitting on pins and needles until the day I can read the last two books in the series. I'm upset to hear that the series are soon to come to an end after the sixth and seventh books are published; I stupidly think they would continue throughout the lives of the Harry Potter character's. I have to say that so far, these books are the best books I have read in a long while and I recommend them for all ages.
Rating: Summary: 5 stars for a most impressive book! Review: This book bring many thoughts to my mind: Dark, different, surprising, fast paced, but the number one thought it brings is Extraordinary. I could not put this book down when I bought it (the day it came out, June 21, 2003) and finished it very quickly. It's a very good book, with new characters, events, and surprises. For those who have read the book, I hope you loved it as much as I did. From an awful "Defense" teacher to Harry's most awaited first kiss, you will love every letter of this book, and that's a fact!
Rating: Summary: This is my 2nd fav out of all of the Harry Potter series Review: This is my 2nd fav out of all the Harry Potter series! It kept me on my toes because I thought Harry was started Oculemy because I thought Voldemort was trying to posses him but instead he was trying to get information from Harry's mind so he could see what the Order of Phoenix. Harry was being alil bit more of a hero and thinking he was almighty and didn't need any anybody. I thought Harry should of thanked Hermoine and Ron for their support instead of snapping at them all the time. I don't like the ending at all that was my FAV charcater and then she does this to him!! but I think she is leading everybody on to think he is ________. but then he really isn't but that's what I think. There's still hope!!!!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Review: It was a really really good book!! It is the best book besides Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Book 3). Because my personal favorite is: Sirius Black the brightest part of his family and the only one who REALLY cares for Harry. Plus he really takes place in this book!!! But i don't want to give two much away now. And for any of you that think it will take "Forever" to get though, don't worry it will go pretty quick.
Rating: Summary: Book Report Review: Magic has set itself in the humid summer air as the fifth installment of Harry Potter arrives. It's the darkest, most emotionally-packed, and mysterious year yet at Hogwarts for 15-year old Harry. You might laugh, you might cry, but you will definitely not stop turning the pages. In the darkest year at Hogwarts you encounter vile creatures, Death Eaters, and the mind of the rising dark lord Voldemort. It has all the malevolent elements of the previous books packed into one; sabotage, snakes, an escaped convict, and the death of a character. That makes one oppressive year! This book is packed with emotions including a snapshot of the glum Potions professor's past, Harry's feeling of being left out of something in the summer, and don't forget, the death of one close to the parentless-Potter. Though some old emotions clear themselves out, new emotions just start to sink in. Definitely the most mysterious year-for both muggles, non-magical folk, and wizards! It topped the bestsellers list in January and now you can own it with no wait! And you won't want to wait-you can tell right away from the US edition's cover colour of blue that gives you the feeling that it's chock-full of secrets. There's a mysterious association that fights against dark magic and protects white and many questions will be answered (though some will be asked.) So why have you not read a book has been eagerly-anticipated in countries all over the world? Why hasn't Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix been shining under your bedroom light? You see it everywhere, but why has it not caught your attention yet? The inside is much richer than the out!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter series is growing up Review: I have read a view of the reviews listed here and I tend to agree with those telling the negative reviewers to keep in mind that it's a series and to rethink their points. I just finished it and I loved it. True, some subplots are a little unnecesarry but overall I thought the book gave a very interesting story with some interesting subplots that were necessary to illustrate the situation that arised when Lord Voldemort returned and the reaction to that statement from the entire magical community. I am a fan of the books, I am not a fan of the movies (in my view they do not give an accurate representation of the atmosphere of the books and far too much has to be left out to fit it in a movie-length feature). I think overall that this book might be too much for youngsters under 16, and it might be a little unfair to all the young fans that book 5 has turned into such a serious and lengthy book. It is pretty clear to me this book was written keeping in mind the 'older' fans, the reason there are adult editions (which I do not own, I don't care if people see me with the 'normal' editions) and therefore The Harry Potter series has become somewhat grown up with The Order of the Phoenix. I am waiting for the 6th year at Hogwarts with baited breath and meanwhile I'm starting to read the series from book 1 all over again.
