Summary: An Excellent Book
Review: This is one of the best books so far in J.K. Rowling's installments. Not only does it have action, but it answers much of the questions the reader posses. For example, it says more about why Voldermort attacked Harry, gave information on Snape, explained much of the past, ect. This book shows a more mature and grown up Harry. He begins to ask extremelity interesting questions. If one is only for action, the middle to end of book does this for you, but it is very intriquing on how Harry and the reader recieves answers to many questions we have all been asking. I recommend with all my might that you purchase and read this book. More activities are O.rdinary W.izarding L.evel exams, interaction between Harry and Dumbledore, and Harry's first love life. Oh and by the way, if you forgot, Voldermort's back.

Review: This book is great! Although it is long it is not tiresome or boring. Can't wait for the next one!

Summary: This Phoenix fails to rise
Review: After the first four, this comes as a disappoinment and hardly warrants the media circus that surrounded it. Rowling turns Harry into a rather unlikeable character and the story is bogged down by details that do little or nothing to advance the plot.

It is clumsy, unwieldy only saved in parts by a truly sinister character in the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher and George/Fred's prank to crown them all. Hopefully, the sixth book redeems the series but with the abundance of plotholes to tie up, it's hard going for Rowling.

Summary: When will Harry realize...
Review: ... that six kids cannot take on 10 death eaters?? Hello??!! What is this The Goonies??

... that he can trust Dumbledor explicitly??

And when will Rowling realize that having absolutely nothing happen for the first 400 pages is idiotic? I kept getting closer to the middle of the book wondering when it was going to start. There's no way I can read this to my kids!! Snore!!

Summary: Not quite as fun as the first 4 books
Review: I am always amazed at how quickly J.K. Rowling can grab her readers and hold them tightly until the very last page. This was another "can't put it down" book for me. Lots of new characters are added and some of Harry's relationships with old characters appear to have changed. Although it is not quite as fun as the first 4 books, and it is fairly lengthy, it is still a wonderfully written story that transports every reader to J.K. Rowling's magically-created land of Wizards and Muggles.

Summary: Harry all grown-up
Review: In book 5, Harry becomes more self reliant and is tired of being treated as just a kid. A group of good wizards called the Order of the Phoenix take Harry into hiding. Harry and his friends are fed up that the order won't tell them what's going on. So while back at Hogwarts Hermione convinces Harry to start a secret class where he teaches students to defend themselves against such evil as Voldemort. Not many people believe Harry that Voldemort is back though. So there's only a few students who join Harry's secret class. Harry's crush Cho Chang joins though and the 2 get closer. Harry learns that dating isn't that easy though and it's not long before the 2 are arguing and fighting.

On top of things there's a new Professor at Hogwarts, Dolores Umbridge who's a mean toad looking women. Right away she seems to have it out for Harry. She keeps giving him detention which gets in the way of him playing Quidditch. Ron joins the Quidditch team and is the new Keeper. The problem is that he's really bad and with Harry getting detention all the time their team keeps losing because of Ron.

Harry keeps having dreams about a secret door at the Minestry of Magic. Dumbledore has Harry take a special class with Snape to help make the dreams go away. Harry is stubborn though and he really wants to get closer to that door in his dreams and see what's behind it. He also takes dangerous risks of getting in trouble by Dolores Umbridge who takes over Hogwarts. He thinks Sirius is in trouble and the only way to talk to him is to break into Umbridge's office and use her fireplace. Harry gets news from Sirius's angry old house elf that Sirius was captured by Voldemort. So then he has to figure out how to get around Umbridge to save his Godfather. This one has less action but the fantasy and wonder are still there. There's tons of action once Harry and his friends make it to the Minestry of Magic though. There's a lot of wand on wand action with good vs evil during that part. Plus we finally get a comfrontation between Voldemort and Dumbledore as well. Anyway this is a really good book. It's as dark as Goblet of Fire with a moodier, more stubborn and more grown-up Harry. I would say this one is more for older kids than really young ones, probably 8 and up.

Summary: good book
Review: This part is maybe not as good as first volumes but is worth of reading.
I often read books for young adults and children. I always look for some inspiring lessons in those books, and check "how" good authors touch the mystery of imagination.
I strongly believe that our kids need something what tickles their imagination. Without imagination we have no wings.
Harry Potter is for me real imagination- booster.
For earlier volumes- 10 stars.
For this only five. I expect some progress in next volumes!!!

Summary: frustration
Review: Being an eighteen-year old fan, I like many others waited in line at midnight in order to get my copy and stayed up for many more hours readiing. Although it was definitely an addicting book and I did enjoy it, I have never been able to read the whole thing again. Whenever I start, I just end up getting really annoyed at Harry since he is always unreasonably angry and more than usually stupid. Of course, he has gone through hell and is a "teenager with raging hormones", and I have considered that his anger may partially come from voldemort since v was entering harry's mind, but it gets really boring. Harry is always mad at his friends for no reason, he has no self control to contain his anger, and frankly acts stupid- he even tries to blame snape for certain things even though in every book we are reminded that dumbledore trusts him. ugh. that said, there are many wonderful parts of this book, especially the antics of the twins and havok in the school, new characters (tonks and luna) and old ones, and dumbledore's army. I just hope I can get past harry's stupidity to the good parts someday....and that he will be less of an annoyance in book 6.

Summary: Harry Potter the 5th
Review: Harry Potter
I believe Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is one of the best books I've ever read because it has a lot more magic and spells than the other last books. Like when Harry has to teach the D.A meetings he uses lots of magic. Also it has a lot more excitement too like when the death eaters come to take the weapon. It has many unexpected parts such as when Harry has the vision of Mr. Weasly. Also so many other happens that are intense and romantic and are perfect for reading!
