Summary: A lengthy boo-hoo!
Review: Although the story is compelling, I NEVER need that much of a good cry. For the sake of my health, after finishing this book, I have sworn off such constant tear-jerkers.

Summary: One of my favorite authors does it again!
Review: As an avid reader and almost always a lover of Luanne Rice's books, I never thought I would ever find another title by this author which I enjoyed as much as Blue Moon or Home Fires. Now after reading Cloud Nine I am happy to say I have have another Rice title to add to those I loved the most. Despite that parts of this book were fairly predictable, I found myself moved by both the story of the main characters and their joining together as they race against time. I also found the plot had many of Rice's signature themes such as the love of a mother for her child and parent, the love of a man for a woman and a budding romance between two young people. If critics feel that Rice's books are too sad and sappy at times, I say while this may be true at times, nobody does these emotions better. Now I can hardly wait to read her latest book, The Secret Hour, inwardly hoping that once again I have another title to add to my best loved books by Luanne Rice.

Summary: Sat on the Beach and CRIED for one hour!
Review: I am a GREAT fan of luanne Rice! i'm researching and buying books before they hit the shelf! This one, i will have to say was the hardest one to "get into" that I have read of hers (and yes, i have read all that are out!). BUT, once I got into the 4th chapter it was impossible to put down. The last few chapters were the ones that got to me! This happens to be Easter weekend and I was sitting on one of our NC Beaches reading this book and crying my eyes out. The ONLY time I stopped reading was to look around to see if ANYONE was looking at me. I finished the book, fried my skin and then ....went into the house. my husband's response was "look at you". i didn't know if he was talking about my red and swollen eyes or my sun baked skin!
This is definately a book to buy and enjoy! one of the best of ms. Rice's that I have read in awhile! Go buy it now! Don't stop until you have it in your hands and then grab a box of tissues and a beach chair!

Summary: Captures and pulls your heart strings
Review: I have just started reading Luanne Rice's books. This one at first was a little hard to get into but it took no time at all till I was caught, hook, line and sinker. All I wanted to do was read it and nothing else. I was so pulled into the life of Sarah and her dealing with cancer and loss and trying to pull what is left of her family in closer. I bawled like a baby over this. Luanne Rice has just acquired another avid fan.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: I loved the story of Sarah Talbot, who owns a bedding store called "Cloud Nine". When the story begins, Sarah is about to take a special flight to celebrate her cancer being in remission. She enjoys the flight so much that she decides to retain the services of the pilot, Will Burke, to take her to Elk Island. She left her hometown years before, but has decided to make the trip back to see her long lost father and the son she left behind.

Along the way, Sarah ends up bonding with Will and his daughter, Susan, and the trio help each other with all of the issues they are facing. I rated the book 4 stars because I'm not a big fan of romance, but in spite of my tastes, I really found myself enjoying the story and wondering what would happen next. If you are new to Luanne Rice, this is a great book to get your feet wet with. Rice is a wonderful source of comfort reads, and this book is no exception. If you are in the mood for a comforting and inspiring story, read "Cloud Nine."

Review: Sarah Talbot is a cancer patient in remission... She still has lots of life in her even though she just finished her treatments. She meets Will Burke just after her hair begins to grow back and the two begin to fall in love. He is worried that he will loose her, but is willing to take a chance. Sarah is full of life and is an inspiration to all. She becomes a good friend and role model to Will's daughter Susan. Susan is young, confused and is trying to find herself. Sarah's carefree acceptance of life's tough circumstances serves as an inspiration to Susan. She teaches her the meaning of love.

Summary: What a piece of drivel.
Review: This book was laced with death on every page. Every bad thing that could happen to everyone happens. Every relationship is filled with strife and antagonism. Cancer, divorce, deaths, teenagers hating step-parents, family fights. Ugh.
Perfect for bored housewives who spend all their time watching Lifetime movies and afternoon talk shows.
Save your time and money. Read Nora Roberts, Susan Elizabeth Philips, or Judith McNaught instead.
