Summary: What a joke
Review: I haven't quite finished this book yet (and I don't know if I even will), but I just have to say that this book is laughable. A filthy-rich computer-and-software mogul named Gil Bates? A woman named Harriet Clayton, whose husband had been a governer and then voted into the White House for two terms (as VP) but who was plagued by sex scandals, and the woman then ran for Senator. Does this all sound somewhat familiar?

This story would have been better if the writer had actually used his own imagination to create new and believable characters, rather than using thinly-veiled versions of real people. His opinions are very obvious, and if he wanted to write a book to make jabs at public figures he doesn't like, he should have done that.

Oh, and the plot of this story? So far it just seems to be a rehashing of post-9/11 military and political actions.

Summary: fighting terrorism and stupidity.
Review: The story starts off when members of The Code Name Team are invited by a billionaire computer maker to attend a function as a reward for doing him a favor. Just so happens at this time multiple terrorist attacks are under way across America. The Code Name Team are in the middle of an attack to extort money from the rich people at the party. The Code Name Team defuses the situation. Then Senator Harriet Clayton (former 2nd lady) thinks she can negotiate with the terrorist of the Islamic Jihad Muhahidins' leader Abdul Kadan Kazar. She foolishly goes to their home turf of Sitarkistan and she is kidnapped. The Goverment won't negotiate and can't be seen to get involved for political reasons and thus asks for help from the Code Name Team. While the rescue mission is going on political games are played when someone leaks info about the mission that could jeopardize the mission. The Code name Team continues on and you'll have to read the book to find out how it goes.
