Rating: Summary: woo hoo what a great book! Review: This book is about a girl who becomes a counsler at a camp. She learns many lessons about how no one is perfect. While sh eis at camp she meets a guy and they become close but when somthing goes wrong she always blames it on someone els.
Rating: Summary: Better Than The First One Review: This book was pretty slow and trite. Following a young teenager who is a little unsure of herself as most teens are, the reader is brought along with her as a CIT in summer camp. She has lost a lot of weight and is still awkward around boys. Very surprised to have a boy coming on to her she jumps at the chance to be with him. There's a small use of profanity in this book as well as discussions about sex. I didn't find this book appropriate for the grade levels that it was written for and would most appeal to (middle school). This book's subject matter is really appropriate for high schoolers who probably would not be interested. The only reason I gave it a second star was because if it will get a child to read who wouldn't have otherwise, then it has some value. Why 2 stars?: Don't waste your time on this one. The story is dull, characters flat, use of profanity and not grade-level appropriate. There are much better books out there on similar topics. I would suggest "Buddies" by Barbara Park.
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: This book was soooooo good. I read it just before I went to camp and it made me very anxious to get there! I highly recommend it! I think this is Paula Danziger's best ever. If you are 10-12, this book is for you! It has some more mature moments, too. I think every girl should own it, or at least read it.
Rating: Summary: Better Than The First One Review: This was much better than the first book. I enjoyed reading it a lot. This book follows Marcy to a summer camp called Camp Seriendipity. It tells about her romance troubles and a little bit of her insecurity. This book had some humor, some drama, and romance too. I recomend it to anyone 11 years and older. It was fun to read.
