Summary: Sweet Holiday Tale
Review: A heartwarming story about a busy Manhattan executive who ventures back to his small hometown to revamp his deceased grandfather's real estate business. He is swayed by his grandmother to locate a mysterious woman who is believed to have had a special relationship with his grandfather when he was alive. A truly beautiful story about romance, tradition and unfailing loyalty that takes place in a Currier and Ives-like location. The ending will knock your socks off and stay with you long after the book is finished.

FYI: The sequel is entitled _The Christmas Quest_.

Summary: A Very Merry Christmas
Review: I love reading small Christmas books in December, just to put me in the "Christmas" frame of mind. I usually read classics (A Christmas Carol, The Christmas Box) but each year, I also buy a few new Christmas books. This year, I read The Christmas Wish, a very nice, very touching and very entertaining story of love, forgiving and self-discovery.

Will comes home after his grandfather's death to take control of the family business. While there, he discovers something awful; his grandfather was probably having an affair with a woman named Lillian. For Christmas, his grandmother asks Will to find this Lillian so that they can make things straight and discover the truth. Will goes on a quest to find the mystery woman, but the quest also turns into a discovery of himself as he will learn how to enjoy life and how to really love again.

The book has some very touching moments and the story is quite engaging; it still was able to surprise me in the end. This is the perfect book to read around Christmas time; it will lift your spirits and put you in the mood for the most wonderful time of the year... Guaranteed!

Summary: BEST BOOK OF THE SEASON
Review: If you're tired of all the murder, the violence, the anti-heros, "The Christmas Wish" is just the book for you. It starts out as a very simple story, but soon begins to blossom into an uplifting message, without being preachy. I cried so much reading the last two pages I could barely focus on the words. Richard Siddoway makes his characters seem very human and real. This book is a must-read for the Christmas season or any other time. Truly a "feel good" book!

Summary: Suspense, surprise and satisfaction
Review: Superlatives can be rather trite. Factually: It is a book that you pick up once. When you put it down it has been read. Well, that is not quite true. You will probably pick it up again to read again. I have just purchased my fourth copy to give to my adult children

Summary: A heart-warmer
Review: Take a big-city boy, throw in a small town, a mystery, and a little romance, and what do you get? Well, in this case, a touching feel-good novel.

This is one of those books that people read not for the sake of literary prowess or academic merit, but rather because it's engaging, it's thoughtful, and it's simply a joy to read.

It's easy to be caught up in this "coming home" story, because it's well written and the characters are carefully crafted. This book doesn't make the mistake of creating "too perfect" characters, and the result is that you empathize with them as they suffer hardships, whether brought on by others or themselves.

The aspect that really keeps the pages turning is the mystery. A search for an unknown woman brings Will, our main character, closer to his late grandfather while confusing him and causing him to question the reality he's assumed.

The story is handled with delicacy and balance, which are welcome in a story which could have been treated too lightly.

The book does come off a little "fluffy" at times, but the ending has depth and clarity of message which pulls the book together marvelously.

Summary: A very positive and heartwarming holiday tale for all
Review: This book is excellent. The author has put together an intriguing and well-written Christmas story that has a wonderful and touching ending. I would recommend this book as a must read this holiday season.

Summary: Sappy sweet, but nice
Review: This book is sappy sweet, but given the fact that it is a holiday tale you can excuse that. It tells the story of a young man returning home temporarily from a sucessful career on Wall Street, to set up his grandfather's business that was left to him when his grandfather died. As a christmas wish his grandmother asks him to find out who "Lillian" is after she finds the name in his grandfather's journal. The story is mostly predictable, the kid decides small town life is better than big city, etc. However, the identity of Lillian did catch me off-guard. The book is short and sweet and well worth the read to put you in the holiday spirit.

Summary: Heartwarming Mystery
Review: This book was a great little read over the holidays. I loved the fact that it was a mystery and I couldn't figure out the answer to the question until the very end. It's rare that I cry when reading a book, but this one drove me to tears. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to read something quick.
