Review: This book on tape is really moving. The stories come across very powerfully and bring home the emotional impact of the Civil War from the point of view of the soldiers and the civilians who were affected by the battles. Most memorable is the story of the child who gets lost behind the battle lines close to his farm. Listening to these stories makes them come alive more powerfully than simply reading the written words could possibly do. I highly recommend this book on tape.
