Summary: The BEST novel I have ever read!
Review: Do not miss this book! I, too, was sad that it did not continue on for more than it's 1,000 pages. The time period had previously not been one of my favorites, but this novel makes it come alive. If you have read other books by Follett, be aware that this one is a little slow to "grab you" in the beginning, but hang in there, it takes off once you are farther into it
