Review: this was the first book i read of brad meltzer and i couldn't put it down. I'm not into politics or even how things are run in the white house, senate or capital, but this book got me hooked. I read this book in 2 days. I am ordering all the rest of his books because they keep you going, never knowing what is going to happen next. I LOVE IT.

Review: what a surprisingly delicious entree to a mystery-diner like myself. i could not put this book down. i love the way it read. i've never visited the White House but felt as if i just got off a twisted and exclusive tour with Brad Meltzer.

After reading THE FIRST COUNSEL i later found out i was reading a book by the same author of THE MILLIONAIRES which was another delicious helping of page-turning mystery!

THE FIRST COUNSEL has it all: love, deceit, betrayal, drug abuse, conspiracy, family, murder, loyalty, wisdom, and the chase!

...this one's a must
