Summary: A Realistic Look At a Man of God
Review: "The man's a saint" We have all heard that expression. Everyone wants their saints and presidents to perfect. All perfect, all the time.

Anyone who's taken the time to research the "saints" finds they are hardly perfect, at least early on.

Harold Klemp lays out his path to God Realization in a down to earth straight forward way. He tells us about his life from down on the farm, to the high heavens of the inner worlds.

Chances are, you have your own ideas about how a person comes to God. After reading this book, maybe people will have a better idea how this can happen. We've all been jammed with notions about sprituality from, Hollywood, TV preachers, the government, politicians, and in general, those who like to keep us in a little box where they can keep an eye on us.

This book works for me. I found it very inspiring. On a recent trip to Kwajalein Island, I read a bit of this book every day. I tried one of the "spiritual exercises" in the book every day also. I was quite excited that I was getting some results immediately. By time I returned home to my wife, I was energized with a new love and peacefullness.

I hope you find something like this in your life.

Summary: The road to God
Review: Anyone looking for a role model of how to achieve spiritual realization in modern times will find much of value in Harold Klemp's autobiography. Through many examples and stories he shows the discipline, the total dedication, and the burning love that are essential to climb to the top of the mountain of God. One of his special gifts is sharing with the reader how to develop spiritual insight - the ability to recognize and follow the guidance of Spirit in all things. Another gift is showing us how the path to mastership can be woven directly into the fabric of our hectic modern lifestyles.

Summary: Mistakes As Stepping Stones to a Better Understanding of God
Review: Anyone who has ever felt less for making a mistake or having bad judgement ought to read this book. Klemp shows us how he stumbles and falls up the mountain of God. His life demonstrates how someone can make a very big mistake, learn from it, and then move on to an experience with God--And then live to make more mistakes and bad judgements as he learns how to integrate this experience, this awareness, into his daily life so he may serve others. This point-of-view has profoundly changed the way I live my life. Because of it, I live life more fully, realizing that my mistakes and moments of bad judgement help me learn what it means to be of divine service to others. This is also teaching me how to work in better harmony with God's love as it provides for all life.

As Klemp explains, life is for each of us, as soul, to gain experience. He shows us that we don't have to accept any limitations on gaining experience--that we can work towards our goals, mundane or divine. He tells us how to most effectively reach our goals and how to get the most reliable help when we need it.

How many people do we know who will openly discuss their mistakes so others can benefit from the lessons they have learned? What a gift!

There is much more to this book than what I have shared here, but this had a major impact on the way I view myself and the say I live my life. Thank you, Harold Klemp.

Summary: Recycled Autobiography of a Modern Faker
Review: Anyone who thinks that climbing the spiritual ladder to be a task for the soft or weak, may be astounded to read Harold Klemp's amazing account of breaking away from the family religion, reaching God-Realization and eventually taking the helm as spiritual leader of Eckankar, the religion of Light and Sound.

His story reflects some hard lessons, a burning love and desire for God, and a relentless degree of self-discipline needed to attain the high-level of consciousness known as God-Realization. But attaining it is not the punch line of this story (in fact, he reaches it at about the half-way point). There are seeming missteps afterwards, including a stay in a mental health facility.

Yet, the lessons he gleans from these experiences are profound as they are practical in pointing the way for the true seeker of God. "First the challenge is to reach the height's of God," he writes, " but thereafter, one's disciplines play an even greater role. The reason is that the kingdom of heaven must be won anew every day." The bar is high and requires unceasing focus as the path becomes narrower and narrower. "The Spiritual Traveler never looks back to see who is following," he adds, "because he knows that the impatient and meek shall forever inherit the earth - but never the highest reaches of heaven."

Highly recommended!

Summary: A Real Page-Turner!
Review: I found this book fascinating. It is full of personal stories of the author's spiritual experiences, and there is not a lot of the mumbo-jumbo philosophy that I have read by other writers on spirituality. I usually wade through that stuff anyway if I can find a nugget of truth, but I didn't find any vague philosophical statements here. Harold Klemp just tells it to you straight, what he experienced, and lets you draw your own conclusions. I especially liked the stories about his out-of-body experiences, encounters with spiritual masters, and insight into his own future. The book jacket states that he is a spiritual leader, but to me he sounded more like the guy next door, more like a friend. A friend who had some pretty stupendous experiences.

Summary: If You Want A Dream Friend,You Can't Go Wrong With This Guy!
Review: I had a experience today that reminded me of what Harold Klemp maybe writing about in his latest book. It seems like we all have invisible helpers secretly helping us all the time, but if we don't put our best effort in achieving a desired result, then we won't see the help that these invisible beings can give us in overcoming the greatest obstacle of all...which is usually our own shortcomings on our road to becoming a spiritual being worthy of God-Realization!After I nearly lost my hand in a potato combine accident Oct. 13, 1973, I decided to read "The Autobiograpy of a Yogi," by Paramahansa Yogananda while convalescing in a Morman hospital in Idaho Falls. From that book, I knew reincarnation was a fact.Sri Harold Klemp takes those kind of facts to the next level by showing us thru his latest book that finding out about God can occur in the simplest of things and need not to require treking off to a mountain or having a freaky accident in order to become God-Realised.In fact he makes a most startling claim! It's relatively easy to experience God. The hardest part is fitting back into society afterwards! Like what does one do after such an experience? Harold suggests many methods in his book, but obviously doing the best one can in serving others with the love of God shining thru your eyes even in the most difficult of situations is part of the ongoing therapy of staying God-Realized.Today, I did my best not to get angry over a combination of ridiculous situations and somewhat succeeded. Tomorrow I will do better while shining the love of God thru my eyes and heart. It's always easy to preach love, few live it like Sri Harold Klemp, Eck Master! submitted by Lee Roth

Summary: A Journey We All Can Take!
Review: I have read various books on Eckankar, but this one struck me were it counts, in the heart!

Harold shows us how spirituality works in our daily lives, and what HE experienced, and not what we may necessarily encounter on the journey to God.

Go with how something hits you, works for you, and travel on it for as long as it is valid.

IT may take you were you need to BE!

Summary: A New Beginning
Review: It was after reading this book that I found the path of Eckankar. Many ideas and beliefs that I had held all of my life were represented by Harold Klemp, and, for the first time, I was able to feel as if someone truly understood me and believed like I had. If you have found this book then it is for a reason. Read it and let your heart determine for you its own truth. No one else can do it for you.

Summary: Finally, a Master as down-to-earth as he is in the Heavens!
Review: Klemp does a beautiful job of showing us that you can connect with the Holy Spirit in this lifetime. He details his ascent through the heavens and finally into his experience of God-Realization. He also shows us how much of a struggle it is to fit back into society after such a tremendous experience.

I loved this book because it is not preachy or dogmatic but shows the way real spiritual guides assist us on our own journeys back to God. Mr. Klemp gives a beautiful spiritual exercise that anyone can use regardless of religious affiliation or beliefs to contact the Light and Sound of God.
