Review: The wonderful Horatio Hornblower's amazing adventures are as compelling today as when they were first written. What the author captures especially well is the flawless character of his leading man. Inspiring and worth reading without ever being corny or over the top. The style of writing may seem dated, but the integrity of its protagonist is timeless.

Review: This book was brilliant. When i first picked this book up I couldn't put it down. The story depicts yet another aventure of the gallant Horatio Hornblower. Given a mission by "my lords of the admiralty" he sets off with his usual courage and determination. The book is read extrtmely well and the narrator's voice helps to enhance this brilliant novel.
