Rating: Summary: Can't really recommend it. Review: Although side 1 has some useful information, I found the "self-hypnosis" portion on side 2 to be rather irritating. The recording is hallow sounding, and the music got on my nerves. I guess it comes down to personal taste, but I can't rate this very highly.
Rating: Summary: Same Ole ,Same ole Review: Don't waste your money or time on this tape. The voices aren't pleasing and they don't tell you anything you don't already know. The Brain Snyc tapes are much more effective and pleasing to the ear. Also the weight loss meditation by Belleruth Naparstek is excellent.
Rating: Summary: a re-programming tape Review: Side 1 contains excellent thought re-orientations on the subject of "life-style change" (a more positive term than the negative idea of "dieting"). Side 2 contains a well-recorded hypno-meditative track with self-reprogamming suggestions. For the last couple of years I have been in a pattern of constant overeating and couldn't get myself to the gym; my willpower seemed to have vanished. I was desperate to get myself motivated to change my behaviors. This tape rapidly reawakened my will power and helped me over the exercise hurdle, as well as made me conscious of my rationale for overeating. Daily playing of the tape is, I think, necessary for the first 90 days of self-programming. The reason why I didn't give the tape the highest rating is because of the rather wooden style of the author's reading of the script on the first side... I found it actually a little irritating, but not so much as to stop using the tape. The hypnotic side 2 is very well done.
