Summary: Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas review
Review: It is impossible to get your nose out of Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson. In this sweet love story of both romance and mystery, Katie struggles to understand why the man she thought she loved left her. Matt has handed down the diary of a new mother Suzanne who made a document of all her hopes and memories of her new family and marriage. Katie begins to understand much hurt what has happened and wonders with all her heart whether she and this new love of hers has a chance of surving. I really enjoyed this book being a romance lover and could not put it down. Like Katie I just wanted to understand what was happening. I especially liked the characters that James Patterson developed throughout the novel. They were just the type that I hope to meet in my future years. This book should be read by anyone who enjoys an easy and quick yet heart warming love story. I would definitely rate this book with five stars.

Summary: I bawled like a baby
Review: Just as with his extremely popular Alex Cross books, Patterson has put together a page-turner. However, the suspense in S.D.N is quite different. In this book we get to see Patterson's feminine side. It reads much like a Nicholas Sparks novel and that ain't a bad thing! I have two problems with the book, however. First, I have never met any men like the hero, Matt Harrison. Second, it's hard to believe one person could be so lucky in love twice. Nevertheless, the book will make you stop taking the important people in your life for granted. Each day truly is precious, and you will FEEL the urgency that Matt feels as you read. The lesson of the five balls that Suzanne seeks to teach is a lesson well learned.

Summary: Why have you NOT read this book yet?!?!
Review: OHMYGOSH! You will need the ENTIRE box of Kleenex for this one! It is a heartbreaking story, and even moreso when I found out it was based upon James Patterson's life!! This is the most beautiful love story, but not cheesy Danielle Steele style. You definitly have to read this if you enjoy authors like Nicolas Sparks. I'd like to give it 10 out of 5 stars, but apparently it's not possible...

Summary: Excellent Story of surviving guilt
Review: Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas is an excellent Story of surviving guilt and living each day. There are many twists and the storyline keeps you moving forward and not wanting to put the book down. It will make you cry, but leaves you feeling so refreshed when you are through, it will make you crave for James Patterson to write more in this style than his thrillers (which I love). Summary: A wonderful book
Review: This is quite possibly one of the best books I've ever read. If a friend is looking for a good book to read, I almost always recommend this first. It's shows that Mr. Patterson can truly write. To go from murder in Washington DC to a tear jerker of a love story must not be an easy thing to do, but Mr. Patterson does it flawlessly. A definite must read!

Summary: James Patterson writes a love story
Review: Who would have thought that James Patterson, author of suspense driven books featuring the psychologist/detective Alex Cross, would or could write a love story. I guess like many others I approached this book with a certain amount of skepticism. All the same I just had to read James Patterson's newest book, Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas. And if I was skeptical, I must now admit that it was a perfect read for a two hour flight this past week. I found myself gulping down this book, wanting to find out what happened to Suzanne, Nicholas, Matthew and Katie. I came to feel as though I knew these characters well and also their love stories. While reading this book, I did find it a bit sappy in the grand tradition of Bridges of Madison County which Patterson mentions in his book, but I also found myself shedding tears towards the end of the book and applauding the happily ever ending for at least two of the characters. And ever the master of suspense, Patterson even manages to provide a bit of a twist in his love story.

Readers who enjoy tear jerker books will certainly enjoy this book. But don't expect great writing. Patterson's choice of words and use of grammar leave something to be desired but then again if you're reading a book while flying or vacationing at the beach, this one is perfect.
