Summary: This novel tore my heart apart
Review: I've just started picking up romance novels from my 17 year old cousin - mostly Garwood novels. Knight in Shining Armor is the first book I've read from Deveraux, which was recommended by a friend. After the first chapter, I was pathetically hooked - stayed up all night to finish the novel. I felt like such a freak because I laughed out loud and cried my brains out. I've never read a novel that made me react so emotionally.

Review: When this book begins you are ready to start shouting "Stop being a ninny Douglas!" before the end of the first two chapters. We especially hate her boyfriend and his spiteful daughter. But then, we meet her soon to be love and we are spellbound, finding ourselves cheering them on in this story of love and heartbreak. Truly a work of art and as an avid reader of mrs. deveraux, this is one of her finest.

Review: THIS BOOK IS SO GREAT THAT MY HUSBAND AFTER HEARING MY NIGHTLY READINGS, RAN ACCROSS THE BOOK ON TAPE RENTED IT AND LISTENED TO IT. THIS BOOK GOT ME HOOKED ON TIME TRAVEL ROMANCE. I LOOK FORWARD TO MORE OF JUDE'S TIME TRAVEL ROMANCE. IF YOU LIKE THIS BOOK YOU MAY WANT TO LOOK UP CONSTANCE O'DAY-FLANNERY. SAME STYLE AND GREAT DETAIL.

Review: I have read many romance novels, and this one is the ONLY one I have read more than one time! I absolutely loved it, and HATED to see it end! The entire book is so charming, and the historical things she puts in are right on the money! Would make a great movie!

Review: I titled my review "Soul Mates Meet" because that is the theme that runs throughout Jude Deveraux's self-said favorite book. If you fancy the idea of a special someone for you, A Knight In Shining Armor is a wonderful tale in which to picture yourself as the heroine.The story introduces us to Dougless, a loving woman who allows herself to be taken advantage of by the man she hopes will ask her to marry him. While on a trip to England with him, they become separated and Dougless finds herself weeping at the foot of the tomb for an unpopular 16th century man. In the midst of wishing for a knight in shining armor to save her from her troubles, she suddenly is confronted with a very strangely dressed hunk in-what else?-shining armor! As the tale unfolds, Dougless learns the tragic story of the knight, Nicholas Stafford, and together they work to change how history will forever remember him. After a few twists and turns through time while finding herself falling in love with him, Dougless discovers a new strength in herself.
The final scenes leave your heart aching with the unrequited love time has imposed upon Dougless and Nicholas....or has it? Written with a deep understanding of a woman's heart, as well as her fears and struggles, A Knight In Shining Armor will speak solace and courage to every woman.

Summary: Not Your Typical Romance!
Review: A Knight In Shining Armor is a well-written historical romance. The characters are fun, the romance is captivating. But this book towers over the competition because it is so much more than that. Jude Deveraux has written a self-help book in disguise for women that don't value themselves highly enough. Dougless, the heroine, blames herself for the problems in her relationship. She worries about her looks, she hopes for marriage, and she bends over backward to treat her no-good string of boyfriends like Kings. She feels like a failure next to her successful family members. It takes one man, a knight, coming to her from the past to slowly teach her that she deserves, should expect, to be treasured by a man. The romance, the humor, the rich writing is all wonderful. But the feel-good sense of self-worth that a reader steps away with? Priceless.

Summary: One of Jude's Best!
Review: I have read almost all of Jude Deveraux's books and I can honestly say this is my absolute favorite. (Sweet Liar is a close second) You cant help but fall into the storyline that catches your attention from page one. The lovely Dougless Montgomery, on vacation with her annoyingly inconsiderate boyfriend and his brat of a daughter, ends up stranded at a church in the middle of nowhere, England. She falls upon a tomb in the church, wracked with tears. Praying for her Knight in Shining Armor. And thus, her wish is granted in the form of Nicholas Stafford, an English Earl who died in 1564. And that is only the beginning of this wonderfully romantic tale. It is funny, heartwarming, passionate, and all around fabulous. I highly recommend this book.

Review: this is the first romance novel that i read.i love every moments of this book.the story gets interesting page by page . i loved douglas and nicholas so much and i cried towards the end ...... well i have to say good job jude youre simply the best. i have to say ever since reading this book i became no.1 fan of historical romance especially concerning england the land of ancient knights. hope we can read more stories like this in the future.....

Summary: changed my life
Review: Everyone else has told the storyline. This book changed my life. Yes, I know it is a romance novel, but it is the first one I read parts of it out loud to my husband. I just had to share the humor of it all! Another title that had me on the floor (laughing), and also reading it out loud to my husband was Ronda Thompson's, "Isn't It Romantic?" I hear they are going to make a film of it, I hope so. It is the funniest book I've ever read in my life. Enjoy

Review: What if you met a gorgeous man from the 16th century, fell in love with him, but he was taken from you in an instant. I became Dougless Montgomery each time the pages were opened while reading A Knight In Shining Armor. This is the BEST BOOK I've EVER read!! I read it in 3 days, and for a housewife, that's fast! A highly recommended read.
