Summary: What happened to the Nora I know and love?
Review: I've always been a big fan of Nora Roberts but found her last few books have been lacking. Maybe she's got a real bad case of writers block, but it's not the Nora Roberts I know.

In 1979 Olivia's beautiful movie star mother is found murdered and her father is charged with the murder. Being the only witness, at the age of four Olivia is called to testify. She saw her father with a bloody pair of scizzors, but blocked everything else out. Sam Tanner, Olivia's father, goes to jail for twenty years to life.

Now twenty years later, Sam has been diagnosed with brain cancer and is allowed out of prison. Olivia lives with her grandparents in Washington State. Sam contacts Noah Brady, the son of the man who put Sam in prison, to write a book about his life. Noah begins the process of investigating the crime and goes to Washington State to talk to Olivia.

Olivia and Noah are strongly attracted to eachother but Olivia resists as long as she can. The two begin a frightening investigation into her mothers' death and find that many things that were believed to be true may in fact not be...

Summary: How can Nora Roberts JUST GET BETTER AND BETTER!
Review: This story was wonderful! Once again, Nora Roberts takes her readers somewhere they may never go. I grew up on/in the Olympic Rain Forest and believe me..........Nora nailed it!! To the reviewer in Oregon and Florida. Your review was so smug, yeah, sure you "knew who done it." YOU TOTALLY MISSED the subtle humor of the minor characters. I have read ALL of Nora's books and there isn't one story that's the same. Sure the lovers have similar issues, but isn't that real life?? The mystery part of River's End was delightful and kept me believing until the last 10 pages. Maybe I'm easy but what a delight to be suprised !! Thank you, Nora, you just keep getting better and better !

Summary: A mystery that will keep you gong till the end.
Review: The River's End was Nora Roberts best book to date. I felt in the beginning that her father had not killed her mother and even the peron who did flashed through my mind. I cannot really define what throughout the book made me feel like her father did not really do it. It was really good and i would highly recommend it to everyone.

Review: No one talks like that. Oh, sweet heaven, oh oh oh. Whew wee UCK! I don't know anything about children but does a 4 yr old have such good command of the english language and conversational skills?

If you want a romance read_OUTLANDER_ by Diana Gabaldon. Now that is THEE hottest book known to man. And it has a Jamie in it that'll have your heart doing flipflops.

Summary: Up to Form as Usual
Review: I love all of Nora Robert's books, have indeed read ALMOST all of them, including the illusive "flower" series. For me it's fun to see her grow as a writer, see her characterizations become richer and more real. I enjoyed her last book "The Reef" very much, but the central characters of Noah and Olivia really spoke to me in this book. Noah's love of flowers, his green thumb, and the reference to his mother and "Zinnia Zombies"; the reference to 'Surely Goodness and Mercy' was priceless. How she's able to sketch Mike so quickly; "he could hurt himself in his sleep" and so completely. These are the kinds of things that you enjoy about Nora Roberts skill as a writer. Even if you feel she may be repeating herself - she always makes it fresh and exciting. Although a friend borrowed it and guessed the ending in the 2nd chapter!!! I was kept guessing until the end. As always we'll just have to wait for the next one!

Summary: NR as usual....
Review: I found the book, as almost all her others, slightly predictable, slightly (more than slightly?) corny, but with two lead characters that were so appealing that they made the tedium worth it. OK, OK, it IS the same thing she's written for her past like five books, but so what...? What are you expecting? She repeats her story, alright, but it's such a good one.... Anyway, I wish she could do something about the flaws but keep those characters intact. I'm really just quite impressed about how well she can write those two romantic leads. They're a little unreal, but just the kind of people you wish you could meet, know, or BE in realy life. They make for an enjoyable, if not particularly intellectually stimulating, read. Really, the books border on formulaic rather heavily in spots, but then, what romance have you ever read that didn't? No, no, if you thought of one that's because it's not REALLY romance, its some other category of book. (Think about it this way....most of Shakespeare was about love, but if it had a happy ending, it was a comedy, and a sad ending was a tragedy. It never gets called romance because romance has an almost sordid connotation about it in this soceity.) Roberts and Susan Elizabeth Philliphs are really the best romance writers out there. Almost everyone else, to put it delicately, bites.

Summary: I couldn't put this book down.
Review: I was totally wrapped up in this book from the beginning until the end. The insights of the personalities of the characters pulled me into the story. I could feel every emotion that drove the players in this intriguing tale. Great summer reading for adults 18 or over.

Summary: Roberts leaves her normal style of writing, and it shows.
Review: I am an avid fan of Roberts, and have every single book she has ever written. I hoard them quite selfishly. I have to say that this book was not written with her normal quick wit, humor, and character involvement. The reader can always count of a new twist through out her books, this one is not even close.

I believe she is trying to incorporate R.D.Robb style of writing in this book and it shows. The story line is good, yet macabe. It was almost like trying to mimic OJ Simpson's sensational case, famous people, murder....etc etc.

I hope she reverts back to her old style with the next book. I give this 2 stars only because its Nora Roberts, anyone else wouldn't even rate.

Summary: Made me want to read more by Nora
Review: This was my very first Nora Roberts book. I saw it at the book store and liked the cover. I really enjoyed it. I find it so fasinating how Nora knows so much about things she writes about. It is obvious that she does a lot of research to write her novels. I was impressed, which just made me want to read more by this awesome writer. Since then I have read "True Betrayals" which was really good and I just finished "Divine Evil" which was THE MOST incredible book I ever read. I'm moving on to my fourth and I'm sure not my last. I am very impressed by you Nora Roberts. Keep up the good work.
