Review: Billie Letts definitely leads the pack in contemporary writing geared for entertainment. She has such a rich way of describing her characters that are more colorful than a crayon factory! It is a great book about lost love. found love, acceptance and overcoming obstacles that seem to be enormous. Bravo!

Review: Billie Letts has done it again! I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen to the characters next. Reading one or two chapters a day was certainly not enough. I couldn't put it down! I can't wait to read Billie Lett's next novel!

Review: Billie Letts definately knows how to make her characters so real that you feel like you know them. I haven't cried so much over a book since Anne of Green Gables. This story does not lack edge, yet it's still clean. I really enjoyed it.

Review: Like WTHI, this book is full of wonderful characters. They are real humans, not some fictional figures. As in WTHI, the lesson to be learned is if we look beyond the surface of everyone we meet, there are true jewels waiting to be discovered. I can hardly wait for this authors next novel. These books would make wonderful movies!

Review: I Loved this author. After reading Where The Heart Is I couldn't wait to read another book and am anxiously awaiting for another novel. I fell in love with the chracter's who were so wonderfully portayed. I laughed and cried with them and felt like they really existed. This was truly enjoyable and heartwarming.

Summary: A WONDERFUL STORY!
Review: Like another amazon.com reviewer, I put off reading this book because I loved WHERE THE HEART IS so much. I didn't want to be disappointed. A clerk in a mall bookstore told me that this book was even better so I took a chance. It was WONDERFUL! I didn't want it to end. Although I loved WHERE THE HEART IS, I liked this book better. The story in this book was more plausible and realistic than WTHI (which even though I loved it,was a little unbelievable at times). Billie Letts is a masterful storyteller and I EAGERLY anticipate her next book. I won't wait to read it. I will be one of the first in line.

Review: This book is for the "Viet Nam" generation! I enjoyed it much more than "Where the Heart Is" because I felt a closer bond with the characters! Whether you were "for" or "against" the WAR, you can identify with some character in the book, I think! It also brought in a larger spectrum of people! I loved these people!
