Summary: The Best Book I've Read Recently
Review: I literally could not put this book down. It was total escapism.

Even though I live so far away from where the story takes place, Grisham puts me there and I am completely engrossed in the events that take place.

Extremely exciting from the get-go.

Summary: WOW!
Review: John Grisham becomes a household name to avid readers with his action and drama rich new novel, "The Firm." Mr. Grisham's talent shines as he introduces his readers to an array of authentic neighbor-next-door characters on one side and the best of the bad guys on the other. Life and death hang in the balance for our hero and provides nail-bitting suspense. Top drawer writing from a top drawer author...

Summary: Super Duper Book
Review: The Firm by John Grisham is my all time favorite book. I gave The Firm five stars because I think that it deserves it. The writing is perfect with a little suspense and not knowing what is going to happen to the characters throughout the whole book. John Grisham uses his skills to create a book that could keep you reading the whole book without stopping. I love this book because it always keeps me hooked on reading it even though I have read it at least 7 times. I also like this book because I can read it over and over again, would you read a book over and over if it weren't a good book? I also think that it deserves five stars because it isn't a normal plot, most authors wouldn't think of the plot that John Grisham thinks of in this book, it goes from one mood and quickly changes and makes you see things completely different. If you have not read this book I really suggest that you read it in the near future or you will be missing out.

Summary: I just finished this book
Review: When The Client was first on HBO, I watched it because "Nothing was on" and I liked it so I read the book, and I liked it but homework and life and other books came along and even though I planned on reading the rest of Grisham's books, I never got around to it.

So the other day I was cleaning my room, and I had a pile of books that I took to the bookshelves to put away, while I was putting them away, I got distracted looking at the titles of the other books on the shelves (I'm easily distracted) and I saw The Firm sitting there, reading a book I haven't yet read is way more interesting than cleaning my room, so I started reading the book, I got to page twelve, when my mom came home and I went back to cleaning my room, eventually I went back to reading and I couldn't put it down, It's the best Grisham book I've read in years! (Shh! I know it's the only Grisham book I've read in years!)

Anyway, Grisham did an awesome job making Mitch and Abby and their situation realistic. I think Ray could have had a bit more depth, but then again the story isn't really about him. I love the little twists in the book, I did not expect several of the things that happened.

Overall a great book!

Summary: A Good But Not Great Page Turner
Review: I had seen movie adaptations of Grisham's books but this was my first attempt at reading one of his novels. The Firm is certainly an engrossing read and the story zips along at a good pace. Grisham does a nice job of building tension and suspense as events progress and the book is quite successful as a page turning thriller.

If The Firm has a weakness, it's that none of the characters are very well developed. There are many ethical and emotional dilemmas raised during the story yet we seldom learn how Mitch feels about them other than him finding a pragmatic solution to escape the trouble he's in. He fears the consequences of his actions and situation but if working for the mob troubles him in and of itself the reader really doesn't see it. All in all this is a good book that is well written and fast paced. But only buy it if you're looking for a mental version of a light snack... there's no food for thought here.

Summary: a fast-pacing novel
Review: I've read a lot of John Grisham's work and I have to say that this is the best so far....The plot was quite simple: Mitch McDeere, a poor & a fresh graduate from Harvard with a law degree signed up with a wealthy firm that gave out a BMW, a large salary and other things no one can easily acquire...Little did he know that the firm was a business of a Mafia Organization...So now, the FBI and the Mafia's chasing him, his wife and his brother.

If you're looking for a good suspense, chasing, easy-to-read book, you better read this NOW!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Exciting and suspenceful
Review: This was the first John Grisham book I've read and it makes me want to go out and read another one. Once I started reading the book I couldn't put it down. The book was very descriptive, and made me feel like i was there. I saw the movie after the book but I was disapointed in the movie because the book was much better. The book made me think how this could actually happen. If all books were like The Firm i would enjoy reading much more then I do.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: "a wild romp for Mitch Mcdeere!!!"
Review: This is a terrific book with an ingenious plot. I'm 12 years old, and i finished it in a week. Mitch Mcdeere is third in his class at Harvard, young, ambitious, and sought by many firms. He takes the job with a small firm in Memphis, which seems to good to be true. Untill Terrence(an FBI agent) informs Mitch about all the cameras and the bugs in his house. Don't start this one on a school night kids!

Summary: Yes Sir A Good One
Review: I think this has been one of his best books, if not the best. The story is very believable and tight. I can feel the emotion of the lead character going from a hand to mouth existence to having all that power and money. I also really believed the trouble he had with the loyalty to the firm, the want of the cash and the pressure of the FBI. A great book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Great Start
Review: This is the first Grisham novel I ever read. Unfortunately, I saw the movie first, so it in some ways spoiled reading the novel. But still, I thought that it was brilliantly conceived and I eagerly await new Grisham novels.
