Rating: Summary: One of my five all-time favorites Review: Readers, put your answering machine on, send the kids to Grandma's, and settle in for the "read" of your life. I've recommended this book to everyone from my 68-year-old mother to my husband to my co-workers. They all loved it as much as I did. Once poor Mitch realized he was between a rock and a hard place, wild horses couldn't tear me away. I've read all Grisham's books up through "Rainmaker" but this was my first and my favorite of his work. I saw the movie and loved it too. The niftiest part of that was that the movie ended differently from the novel, and it was just different enough to keep me guessing. A classic both in print and on the silver screen
Rating: Summary: NO WAY OUT! Review: Mitch McDeere has just signed up with a well-paying firm
in Memphis. Before long he stumbles upon a secret that could incarcerate every member of the firm, including
himself.
After talking with the FBI, McDeere realizes he is trapped
and cannot escape without risk. He has two choices:
1. He can obtain incriminating evidence against his coworkers, turn it in to the FBI, and avoid jail. If he does
this, however, he can be killed by clients of the firm, THE
MAFIA. 2. McDeere can avoid the FBI, work at the firm, and live a
prosperous life, only to be arrested at some point in the future and serve a lengthy jail sentence.
McDeere is faced with a tough decision, and after he decides, he must face the consequences
Rating: Summary: Great Book!!! Review: I thoroughly enjoy John Grisham books, but I have to say
that The Firm is his best work of all. The plot keeps moving
and it is a real page turner. I enjoyed it so much that
I have now read it a total of eight times. It is a great book.
Rating: Summary: Spellbinding Masterpiece Review: John Grisham's best novel and one of the best books that I have ever read.It keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end
Rating: Summary: THe Firm, a great introduction to John Grisham Review: As I started to read this book,I was cought up in the intricate tale of a young brilliant lawyer with a beautiful wife and a promising future; make his way up the
socieconomic ladder and establishing himself within his associates...then later to find that his entire
future is in jepordy. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has never read any of Grisham's
books or has not the silightest interest in law or any matters related to it. This is a fantastic novel that
I managed to stay up untill 4 AM sometimes reading it because I could not put it down. As I said,
this is a great way to be introduced into John Grisham's works. By far this is my favorite novel of his
and of any other multitude of genre or author I have had the pleasure of reading. The Firm is also
probabally the most ejoyed and is revered as his finest work. This is true, pure Grisham at his best.
This book I highly reccommend.

Rating: Summary: A Book that will keep you saying WOW! Review: I tried reading other kinds of books, like Stephen King books but they just didnt do it for me. The action started way to late. However, in The Firm the action started right in the begininning of the book. After the first 40 pages I could already notice something wasnt quite right about the Firm. This made me want to find out even more. Some of the situations that Mitch Mc Deere got himself out of were pure genius on Grisham's behalf. It was also the plot as a whole was just superb. I urge everyone to read it. The thrill of this book will keep you yurning pages until you finish. It had a fully satisfying ending. I just couldnt stop think WOW how did he get himself out of that. It is my new favorite book and I cant wait to read some more of his book. Also , if you like the Firm you will also enjoy the client.
Rating: Summary: A Fun and Fast Legal Thriller Review: When you pick up this book, you will not put it down until you are finished. The book is about a recent law school grad. who joins a firm and begins a promising career. The firm has dark secrets which he discovers and is unable to overlook. Then the book gets interesting.
As the main character was fleeing the bad guys, I felt as if I were running with him and actually became out of breath. There is hardly a moment's rest for the reader because the book is so action packed and fast-paced.
This was John Grisham's first book. I knew when I read it that I would read his next, and his next, ...
Rating: Summary: One of Grisham's best Review: This is a truly amazing Grisham book, full of plot twists and suspense. It's no wonder it catapulted Grisham into the bestseller arena.
The story starts out simple: Mitch McDeere is recruited into a creepy law firm situated in Memphis. They give him a high salary, a BMW, and a good mortgage. No one has ever quit this firm, which seems to be a good thing... But then Mitch realizes that people from the firm have a tendency to die, and the FBI is involved too. No spoilers, but it gets even more intense as the book goes on.
This is a great and fairly easy read. Like most Grisham books, you will find yourself hooked to this book from the start. The ending is good, and you may even find yourself re-reading it sometime in the future. You will not be disappointed with this book.
Rating: Summary: My View on the book The Firm Review: From a decisive point of view The Firm is one of the best books I have ever read, and I would recommend it to anybody who loves to read. I have the benefit of reading this book. I enjoyed the parts when he wrights in a fast pace style, which occurs throughout most of the book. I also like his use of the central character as a highly regarded lawyer who is faced with the circumstances of spying on his firm for the FBI. I also like how he at first portrays the firm to be well thought-of then as the book progresses he changes your vision on it. Despite the fact that before I started to read the novel the span discouraged me it was well worth it in the end.
