Summary: The Firm - an insult to American Literature
Review: How on earth a story with so many obvious holes could have launched Grisham's career is beyond me. From a legal standpoint the plot lacks credibility. And as usual with Grisham's novels, the protagonist wires a bit of money around the globe and makes instant millions - Deus ex Machina - what a cop out! The Firms ends ridiculously with Mitch and his wife 'hiding out' a couple of miles from where the Mafia blew up two of the firm's lawyers. Dumb or what? Its not all bad though. The life of a workaholic rookie lawyer is well crafted, as is the greed of the partners. But all in all the story sucks. Pass on it.

Summary: The best novel I have read in many years
Review: Some weeks ago I was reviewing the catalog of a well known, distinguished law school in the West Coast. In one of their pages they said: John Grisham meet Gregory Dillon, and they told his story of being an exceptional good student who had a lot of things to do, in addition to preparing for his Bar exam. He completed all his taks and also passed the Bar! But I did not understand the full meaning of this, until I read the book. No doubt, John wrote a great book, and I really enjoyed it. I took it one Saturday morning, and could stop until about 10 a.m. the next Sunday. It was well worth. Congratulations.

Summary: I RATE THIS BOOK 10 OUT OF 10 STARS!!!!
Review: I have read all of John Grisham's books and by far this was THE best book he's written. I finished it that night within hours. The suspense was so tight... I couldn't have any music or background noise at all. It is such a shame that John couldn't take notes from this book and keep the rest of his books this good. I have been so disappointed with his subsequent books. Shame.

Summary: Pure Excellence
Review: Sometimes it's difficult to cut through all the political mumbo-jumbo in a John Grisham book. However, The Firm, is a true masterpiece that leaves you wondering...what will Grisham write next? My guess is something to do with law. :)

Summary: Suspenseful, With a Complex Plot
Review: I read The Firm for a book report at school, and I have to say, this was a really, really good book. It was about a Harvard Law graduate who gets a dream job offer from a small firm in Memphis. Once he takes the job, he suddenly starts having mysterious encounters with the FBI. The plot was suspenseful, and the characters were very realistic. The book kept me on hold for an entire day, and I finished it in about two days. There were many characters, which was nice, because it wasn't always the same people talking. There wasn't really a small passage that you could read, and feel the suspense. You had to read the entire book, and ease into the story, absorbing the characters and their personalities, and finding out whose side they were on, which wasn't always that easy. Then, the book kept you hooked, leading you higher and higher to the climax, and then gave you a satisfactory ending. It seemed like a movie, and I could just see the plot unfolding, the characters interacting, and their emotions. I enjoyed the book, but I thought the plot was confusing at times. There was some strong language in it, which didn't offend me, but it might some people. In short, The Firm was very well written, with an intriguing plot, but could use a little clarification at times. I recommend this book to anybody that enjoys suspense; and a mature read.

Summary: This was one of the most exciting books I've ever read!
Review: This inticing thriller will have you on the edge of your seats, while your eyes are glued to this book. Ladies and Gentlemen John Grism has done it again. This book is a story about Mitch McDeere, a Harvard law student who has just graduated at the top of his class. All he has now is his degree, his sharp mind and his loving wife. With no money in the bank, he takes an offer from an affluent law firm. After this firm buys him a new house and car, and goes out of thier way to make everything look picturesque, he realizes that something is not right. He understands that his clients rather pay the a lawyer instead of the FBI, its the American way. What this young bright attourney does not yet realize is whats going on behind the scenes at this firm. After uncovering the wrong information, Mitch has the FBI and the MOB watching every move he makes, making this unstopable reading so unpredictable and exciting. Grism keeps the wandering weather each move will be his last. This was one of the most exciting books Ive ever read! I literally couldn't put it down until I finished it!
