Review: This book is about these children whose mother died and then the dad marries again and the story is how they learn to like her. I did not like the idea of a mother dying and of getting a step mother. I was forced to read this book in school.

As a teacher, I joined my students in agonizing over the outcome of this family's journey. No short tale does this as profoundly, yet simply. How could this get less than five stars?

Review: Glenn Close does a fabulous job diffentiating her voice for the 4 main characters. The children are very real in the story. The is alot of heartache in each of the characters. Tears come to your eyes at several points. It is a wonderful story.

Review: I read this book when I was in third grade. I loved the book and I was so excited when I found the movie boy was I disappointed! There are alot of things in this movie that didn't happen in the book. The acting is lousy too. So read the book and waste your time watching the movie. It's not worth it believe me.
