Summary: Book Review
Review: The Ersatz Elevator was a pretty good book. What I liked about it was that it has a strong plot and story line, it was suspenseful, and it made me want to read more. The bad things were that the author explained things too much. For instance, he would take up a page and a half explaining the definition of just one word. In other words, he "over-explained" things.

The Baudelaire orphans' new guardians live on top of a 84 of 48 story high building with an elavator but cannot be used because evelators are "out" or not in fasion. The house has 71 bedrooms and the orphans always get lost in the house. They are still worried about the evil Count Olaf trying to steal their fortune and the Quagmires' sappires. However, Count Olaf still show up as a the "innest" auctioneer, who is an influent english speaker and always uses "please" improperly. The Baudelaires finds the Quagmires hidden in the elevator of their guardians' apartment house, how Emse, one of their guardians is Olaf's boyfriend, and how finding out the meaning of V.F.D will save their fortune and lives.

This reading this book is like taking drugs(but in a good way). When you take drugs, the first time you take it, you get addicted to it and have to take again and again. It is not because you like it, it is becauce you have to. Like drugs, once you finish the first book of this series, you have to keep on reading the books after the first book until you finish the whole series and watch their unfortunate lives change.

I like this book because it leaves you hanging at the end of the book and make you want to hurry up and get the next book and find out what happens to the orphans. I don't like this book because the author always has this stupid lectures on these things that I don't even understand, which delays me from finding out what happens to the Baudelaires. "IF you are ever forced to take chemistry class, you will probably see, at the front of he classroom, a large chart divided....." IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STORY!!!

My favorite part of the story is this, "The Baudelaire orphans looked around them, and huddled together as if they were still iin a dark hallway instead of outdoors in broad daylight, standing amid the ashy ruins of their destroyed home." That was when they found a tunnel of where the Quagmires were hidden that led straight to the burnt down Baudelaire mansion which they never knew about.

Summary: great book
Review: Would you like to live in a pent house? In Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket this book is about three kids; Violet, Klaus and Sonny and their arch nemesis Count Ohalf. He's trying to steal their fortune. The story takes place in a pent house. I like this book because it is really exiting and reasonable to read. This book has a lot of action in it. I like the main character a lot because he's really eager. I learned from this book to never trust a man in disguise. Find out if Count Ohalf is caught by reading this exciting book.

Summary: Strong Determined Kids
Review: Lemony Snicket has created another great book. I enjoyed this imaginative creation of A Series Of Unfortunate Events.

In this version, Count Olaf is a famous auctioneer in disguise and the Baudelaire children are living with a selfish, greedy woman and a weak husband that avoids arguments as much as possible. These children have to go up countless flights of steps, climb up and down a dark elevator shaft many times, get lost in a huge penthouse, and put up with Count Olaf evil terror again. All this did not deter them from trying to save themselves and their friends.

There is a great mystery brewing, and it makes you want to read more to find out the entire truth behind the Baudelaire mansion, Count Olaf, and V.F.D. I do recommend the 6th book of the series. Thanks.

Joy.

Summary: The Ersatz Elevator
Review: I would recommend the book: The Ersatz Elevator. It is a great book. This book was puzzling when Violet, Klaus, and Sunny were trying to find out what V.F.D. stood for. It was mysterious when the Baudelaire orphans went inside the elevator and found the Quagmire Triplets. It was mysterious because why would Count Olaf have them there and not already shipped them off to another island to take their fortune? I also liked that Lemony Snicket used big words, and then gives the definitions to tell what they are. It was good that the Baudelaires took action by themselves, instead of asking or having help from an adult. Last, I liked that this book is a series and you just have to keep reading all of them to find out what happens to the children in the next book. This was a really good book. and I would recommend this book to everyone.

Summary: The Ersatz Elevator is an excellent book!
Review: An incredible thought out story with surprizes around every turn! This book, like the rest of the series, will continue to amaze you word after word, page after page. Lemony Snicket out-does himself with a skillfully thought out sceam for Count Olaf to pull this time. His writing keeps you at the edge of your seat with mysteries unsolved until it's too late. Your questions will keep you reading. What is the ersatz elevator? Where are the Quagmire triplets? What is Count Olaf's evil plan this time? Where can I get the next book!?!?!?!?

Summary: wow a really good book
Review: Wow this had to been one of the best books I have read sense I started readying the series I mean there's a ton of action in this book and that's what I like in Lemony Snickets books because he describes everything he say in full detail and all of that.

Also this is a good book because it leaves a big mystery on how the kid's mansion burned down and I also like that in his books.

But I highly sagest you get this book to read because it is really really good.

Summary: Introduction to a Mystery
Review: I was amazed by the way the author drew out the suspence of where the Quagmires were. This is the book that finally gets the Baudelaires wondering what V.F.D. could possibly stand for. This is a recommended book for readers of all ages.

Review: how long can you drag these books out for? they're all the same, the kids gets sent somewhere, to an evil guardian. but they always escape without any adult help, because they are never beleived. different adults but the same old song and it needs to be changed.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: the best book ever
Review: i believe this book is excellent for young adults. the series is great but this on so far is my favorite. it may see like a horrible thing for these children to experence but that is what makes the book and the series so interesting.
