Summary: could not put it down
Review: Alex Delaware meets someone from his past at a party. Through a series of twists and turns he discovers the truth about her. I am usually good at guessing endings, but I had no idea what would happen in this case.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I thought that this was one of Kellerman's greatest books
Review: From the beginning of the book until the end, the suspense killed me. The story of the good/bad twin was excellent. I also love following his romance with Robin. I got upset when they broke up and was happy when they got back together. I am hooked on Kellerman and Alex. If anyone also is out there reading this, do they know if Kellerman has written any more Alex Deleware books after Survival of the Fittest. Please e mail me.

Summary: It's just my guess but
Review: I feel this is probably one of Mr Kellerman's first novels. And I thought it was a great modality to gain insight into the id, ego and superego, which I, as an engineer continue to grapple with as I continue to observe and try to understand human nature. Well, at least it helped me to understand my wife a little better (chuckle).

But, even if the reader were reading merely for the surface pleasure, this book certainly meets Raymond Chandler's observation, in that it would be enjoyable even if you found the last fifty pages missing. Albeit, a little tedious.

Actually, I kind of wish that Mr Kellerman would steer back a little toward that which he knows best, namely human behavior. Isn't that why so many readers read in the first place? I truly believe that accounts for the general public's interest in crime stories, fiction and non-fiction alike. More or less taking a look at the extremes to better understand the middle where the majority of us stand, sometimes wondering, "What the heck is going on?". Walker Percy hinted at this when he said something like, "It's easier to find out about a star ten light years from earth than it is to find out about yourself."

I have read most of Mr Kellerman's novels and he has become one of my favorites.

Best to all,

Andy

Summary: Interesting plot, cheesy ending
Review: I found the narrative had pace and rarely became tedious. There was a diverse range of characters and gripping interactions between them. However, it seemed to me as if Kellerman run out of ideas before the end and hurried off the last couple of chapters. This left me rather disappointed, but still wanting to read more of his work.

Summary: The very Best of the Alex Delaware Series!
Review: I have read all of the Alex Delaware books by J. Kellerman to date, and am eagerly awaiting his next, but "Silent Partner" is the first one I read, and it was such good reading, it made me want more of this interesting character! I have since read all his fiction novels, and love them all, but still think "Silent Partner" the best. So many odd twists and turns, not even the best arm chair detective can anticipate the plot. It held my attention from first word to the last, and I hated to see it end. It was the book that hooked me on Jonathan Kellerman novels. You find yourself wishing that you knew Alex Delaware as a real person. But it is the mystery that captivates and keeps us interested.

Summary: My First Jonathon Kellerman Novel
Review: I picked this book up in a used book store and was amazed as much as I read that I haven't
read Kellerman's books before. I was totally engrossed from the very first sentence.
I am usually pretty good at figuring out "who done it" by the time I am halfway through
the book, but this time I couldn't tell even after a peek at the ending. I went directly
to the library and got three more of his books to read. I can't wait!
