Rating: Summary: You must read this book! Review: I loved reading this book! Usually I really dislike a book when they have a "what happened before" thing, w/ past and present...but the way Nora Roberts put it together was just wonderful! You laugh and cry and want to read it all over again! Plus, I love a little magic added to a story! Matthew and Tate are wonderful together and its great that you get to know Tate's parents and Matthews uncle...This ones is a keeper! (LOL I have a HC and paperback myself...:D)
Rating: Summary: this was a good book Review: I don't see where some people gave this book 1 or 2 stars. We all have our own opinion and here's mine: I thought it was very entertaining. I liked the idea of living in a boat on the sea. It was a different type of scenery than the usual "suburban" or "urban" novel. I would recommend it for people who like the idea of sunken treasure and a quick getaway.
Rating: Summary: Stop! Before you buy this book..... Review: This is NOT the best thing Nora Roberts has ever written. For some unexplaned reason IT DOESN'T GO ANYWHERE!!!! About halfway through the book I found myself woundering why I had bought it in the first place. If you're really wanting to kill some time on bad storyline. This is it.Treasure hunting in the ocean while some guy with more money than he knows what to do with tries to steal the site your digging in, to take all the credit and the glory is just plain stupid. It's like a bad made for TV movie that you watch while your snowed in with no place to go. The main character is just so blah that's it's not until the last chapter that the book goes anywhere. My advice, Check the book out of the library and save your money!!!!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Read! Review: "The Reef" was the first book by Nora Roberts that I have read and I am very impressed. In this book, the detailed descriptions of ocean life are exceptional and the relationship between the two main characters, Tate and Matthew, is well-written. This book was a real page turner that I could not put down. If you love a good story with all the elements: a nasty villain, a handsome hero and a feisty/courageous heroine, you'll love this book. Plus, its set in the beautiful Caribbean and you can't get more romantic than that.
Rating: Summary: Another Smashing Success Review: I absolutely loved this book. It had everything a person could ask for....mystry, suspense and romance. The dialog between Tate(Red) and Matthew were so well written-as well as those of the other characters. After reading some other reviews, I decided to read this book as there were a lot of contradictions to what people were saying, and I am glad I did. Nora Roberts is one of my favourite authors. I only started reading her books about 6 months ago and got hooked. Now I have read more than half of her books...and I have just ordered another bunch! Other of her books that I have enjoyed were (From the Heart, Dream Trilogy, Sanctuary, Homeport, True Betrayels, Born Trilogy, etc.) I hope you enjoy her books as much as I have.
Rating: Summary: Nora Roberts Lover Review: I love everything that Nora Roberts writes - and The Reef is no exception. Full of the romance and adventure that we all crave, Roberts never disappoints. The story of two lovers, separated by lifestyles and oceans, who come together over a common dream and longing kept me up all night to finish the story. It made me want to fly down to the Carribean, don some scuba gear and jump in. Another great story from Roberts - I loved it.
Rating: Summary: The audio version was a delight! Review: One of Nora Roberts good ones. The audio version, read by Sandra Burr, was time well spent in the car. The rich character studies enlivened the story about star-crossed lovers whom fate keeps bringing back together for a common purpose. After 8 years, they find themselves again working the same dangerous underwater salvage operation, one that would eventually bring them great wealth, international fame and the return of a nagging villian. The good guys finally win, but not without a good fight. And a long-dead Angelique finds just revenge for her curse and peace for her spirit. Good adventure story.
Rating: Summary: A book of great interest, for many reasons Review: As a man, I have not many opportunities to come across this kind of "romance" books. However, almost by chance I bought it while waiting for an air connection and really enjoied it a lot from the first pages. I am fond of sea and an amateur diver myself, so I had even more reasons to enjoy the story in all its components: the up-and-down love story, the underwater search for the treasures and all related events. I think Nora Roberts has well mixed all the parts so to design well more than an entertaining book. At least she stimulate you to know more about treasure hunting, marine archaeology and, why not, also to take a trip to the West Indies yourself !
Rating: Summary: Search for mystery Review: This one appeals to those romance readers who are also interested in deep sea treasure hunts. It is an interesting read and keeps you turning the pages. Enjoyable, fun, light reading and if you like scuba diving and buried treasure, you will probably like it. Romance too, of course!
Rating: Summary: Great, simple, easy reading adventure and love Review: I'm not a huge fan of romance novels because I usually find them to be silly, but this novel had all the makings of a great adventure on the sea. It made me take up snorkeling on a regular basis. It flowed really well, and I could hardly put it down. It's the perfect romance for someone who doesn't like romance novels.
