Summary: Snicket finds his voice
Review: Book 1, The Bad Beginning, was really good, but this is the one where Lemony Snicket really finds his voice. If the first one was a little too dark for you, this one takes care of that because it seems brighter. Yes, it's true that only misfortune awaits the Baudelaire orphans again, but you already know that and you're ready for it. The laughs come bigger and more frequently in The Reptile Room, my favorite after finishing the first 5 books. This will be the one that convinces you to folllow the rest of the series. A breeze to read.

Summary: I liked this book a lot, but the first was better
Review: Don't get me wrong, I REALLY enjoyed this book, a bit on the stranger side. The Bad beginning was better though. But if you are into the bad beginning, definetly read this book! Don's let what I said stop you! This is very well written and funny like the first and I read it in only three days! (like the first also!) I guarantee you will like this book if you liked the bad beginning!

Summary: Another clever outing
Review: Having escaped the awful fate planned for them by the evil Count Olaf, the Baudelaire orphans once again find themselves without a home...until they are placed with Dr. Montgomery, an odd little man who loves to make cream pies and has a houseful of snakes--which the orphans find perfectly wonderful! In fact, he plans to take them with him to Peru on a snake-finding mission. All is going well, until they meet the doctor's strange new assistant, who seems dreadfully familiar...

Snicket's usual blend of off-the-wall humor, clever wordplay, and bad puns are combined with more suspensful situations and more scary moments at a thrill-a-minute pace. The children are in constant peril, but they always seem to squeeze out of it at the last second, relying on their own pluckiness and talents to stay a step ahead of danger. Once again, Snicket provides his fans with an entertaining book sure to please both young and old. Lots of fun!

Summary: The Reptile Room
Review: I Think that The Reptile Room was a Great Book, I hope that There will Be more Books about The Baudelaire Orphans, But I am still on Book Seven and I Can't wait to see The Ninth Book. I think that the Lemony Snicket Books are My favorite, And my Favorite Book So far is: The Reptile Room... Good Luck Making Books! Keep up the Good Work!

Summary: " IT LACKS ORIGINALITY"
Review: This book is more like Bad Beginning then you would think Count Olaf comes back in a discise and tries to steel there fortune again. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are just as grumpy as they were in the first one and Count Olaf is the same the only thing that made me keep reading this book was the reptiles and uncle Monty who i thought were a good twist and made it a little diffrent then the first one but I think Lemony Snicket should come out with a new Villian or a more exciting plot.

Summary: Try this excellent series -- whatever your age!
Review: THE REPTILE ROOM is the second in the series of unfortunate events about the three Baudelaire orphans that began with THE BAD BEGINNING. These books are SO depressing they're hilarious. Once I start one, I can't put it down. While we can often see who the bad guy really is and what's going to happen, it's like watching a scary movie and screaming at the screen, "Look out! He's right behind you!" but the characters in extreme peril can't hear you. The author is so funny, and so sly. And he paints his pictures of gloom so well. Bravo! And the creepy crawly snakes! EEwww!

Summary: Giddy uncles are great!
Review: I've read all of The Series of Unforunate events up to 6 and starting on the 7th. So far this book has been my FAVORITE. For the second time Violet, Sunny, and Klaus have gone to their relative's house, and this time they go to an herpetologist,(I think that's how you spell it!)a person who studies reptiles, named Montgomery Montgomery. In a short time they would be going to Peru. They have a wonderful life with him.In a short time they would be going to Peru.....................

Summary: Lemony Snicket Hits a Homer
Review: The amount of waiting in this book makes you want to finish, but at the same time, you never want it to end. The book is excellent, you never know what would happen next, you just knew that SOMEONE was going to be there. The plot is great, and so are all the other books in the series. I highy reconmend this book for anyone who can read over 100 page by themselves.

Summary: The Best Book!
Review: Ok I must tell you that I am a teenager, but this is my favorite book in the series. Cause it talks about Sunny alot cause in all the series every book has a picture of 1 of the kids on the cover this is the only one so far with Sunny. I think you should buy this book, but I also think it's helpful to read the first book before the second (and so on). But please read the whole series and ask yourself which book was your favorite. Well hope this helped.

Summary: Uncle Monty to the Rescue!
Review: Thank goodness Violet, Klaus and Sunny are finally going to have a happy home. Not really, this is a series of unfortunate events after all and the slapstick and sad events will have you rolling on the floor. This is a great book to read with your children...
