Review: I have been teaching ESL for 15 years, and Barron's How to Prepare for the TOEFL test is not only the best book for students planning to take the TOEFL, but also for intermediate level students who need to add structure to their learning of grammar, and develop their vocabulary. A very interesting text to work with.

Review: I've already read the book How to prepare for the new toefl test by Pamela Sharpe, I've not found a better book of toefl preparation until now. at the begining of the book it looks difficult to adapt to the way it is structured but as the days are passing by you notice that the way in which She made the book is the best to have a quick reference while you're answering the excercises of "structure and writen expression", I dont know the author but in my opinion is a person extremely intelligent. The excercises are ordered on a methodic way that I've never seen before in other toefl books that present their teachings so clear. I never before had taken classes of grammar but I feel that the book has help me very much. I've read a 70% of the book and in my opinion is the best.

Review: Ok maybe u will think every book is the same like this one.But You can not compeare it before you test it.It was so helpfull for me.I did'nt apply the test yet but I hope I will be succesfull with that one.I tried some books before that but as I said,you can't decide which one is better.And it is also not expensive to have it.Think,with only few Dollars you will be able to pass this this test.Just try and see...

The most recent edition, BARRON'S HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE TOEFL 9th edition, will help you succeed on either the Computer-Based or the Paper-Based TOEFL. Be sure to purchase the book that will help you prepare for the TOEFL you plan to take. This edition includes advice, review for each section, and eight paper-based model tests with detailed explanations, as well as preparation for the essay. Be sure to purchase the package with cassette tapes so that you can practice for the Listening Comprehension Section. If you are planning to take the Computer-Based TOEFL, I recommend that you purchase the 9th edition instead, which is also available at Amazon.
