Rating: Summary: A Great Read for All Fans of Creepy Stories Review: This second Scary Stories book by Alvin Schwartz is almost as good as the first title. The stories are great to read to yourself or young ones. The creepy drawings by Stephen Gammell add so much more detail to each story -- in short they are excellent. In all this book is lots of fun for all ages that are interested in scary stories from folklore.
Rating: Summary: Worst mistake I ever made... Review: was buying my daughter this book! It's been at least two weeks... and bedtime is still a nightmare. The minute the lights go out she starts thinking about this book and the tears start! Ugh! We learned the hard way that our daughter wasn't ready for this type of book. If your child is at all sensitive to scarey stories - avoid this book.BUT! If your child loves spooky stories/movies - this is the book for you! It is well written and the illustrations are very scarey (my husband LOVED it!)
Rating: Summary: Been reading this book since 2nd grade! I'm 19 Review: You know what, this book still scares the living ... outa me. There are some things that I won't even do today like go in a really dark place, or walk down a street at night. This is one book where the illustrator can be appreciated as much as the author was. You have got to get this book!!!
