Rating: Summary: this is scary Review: I'm 23 and i'm still get creeped out by these stories! I don't know how I was able to handle them when I was younger. And those pictures...my goodness! The images get stuck in my head when I try to sleep at night. These stories will definitely scare you, no matter how old you are.
Rating: Summary: Stories To Scare The Love Out Of You! Review: I've had this audio book ever since I was in my sophmore in High School. I like this book because of the dark stories. I supposed that Midnight Syndicate's blood-chilling music can be used for this one. I like all the stories including One Sunday Morning, Sounds, The Church, The Bad News, The Bride, Somebody Fell From Aloft, Something Was Wrong, The Curse, Thumpity Thump, and A Weird, Blue Light. For the story of One Sunday Morning! you should have Midnight Syndicate's leagens Of The Dead! because in that story about how a girl winds up in a church service! only to turn out that it was a service for the dead. I'm sorry if I've ruined it for you. I won't ruin it anymore, but If you want to have nightmares! then this is for you. So enjoy your last days of love! because these scary stories will put an end to it. If you and your beloved want to be scared of each other! Then this is for you. I've got you. Wahahahahahahahaha!.
Rating: Summary: This Amazing book More Scary Stories to tell in the dark Review: If you like scaring people out of their mind this is a book you would want to read. More Scary Stories to tell in Dark by Alvin Schwartz is a great book. One story called 'The Wreck' takes place in the woods. Fred and Jeanne are at a dance and Jeanne wanted a ride home. She had run her car into a tree on the way to the dance and Fred ended up giving her a ride home. After he dropped her off he realized he didn't know her last name or her phone number, so on the way back something amazing happened. If you want to find out what happens remember to read this amazing collection of scary tales.
Rating: Summary: Joe's review Review: Maybe I'm just too old and jaded (29), but this book is not appropriate for all ages. I couldn't find a scary story in there - I was looking for a scary book to read around the campfire for adults, but we had to settle for talking about our current political leaders.
Rating: Summary: It's Even More Scary Stories! =) Review: More Scary Stories for Scary Readers was an awesome book.It really deserves 5 stars for it's thrilling stories and terrifying and mysterious endings. Some terrifying stories were The Great Hall, which had a man murdered in a "Great Hall"of a mansion, and Grandma's Dead, which took place in a church which is a scary and mysterious setting. It's where a grandma dies from a heart attack after seeing ghosts.I recommend you get this book.It will probably the most thrilling book you've ever read.
Rating: Summary: More Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark - one of the best! Review: More Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark is better the the first book. It's got better stories and drawings. One of my favorite stories is The Church and Rings On Her Fingers. There's one thing I always noticed in a Scay Stories book, the illistrater always draws the characters with stringy stuff hanging from them and dripping blood? For some good folklore stories read More Scary Stories!
Rating: Summary: Fun to drive around with! Review: My daughters and I drive around with these tapes all of October to get us into the mood---c'mon, you've got a whole month to prep for Halloween; even if these days they start with Halloween in July... Fun for kids, even as young as 4-5. Not "scary" in the true sense, but enough for them to appreciate these stories and have fun with them. Plus, Mr. Schwartz, whose voice you might recognize as the narrator to oft-played, "A Christmas Story" on Dec. 25th, makes for a delicious storyteller. Excellent for Halloween fun! I wish these audiotapes were more readily available--we'd have them all!
Rating: Summary: I had a little trouble getting to sleep after reading this! Review: The best part of Alvin Schwartz's book was trying to figure out the end of each story before I actually got to the end. Sometimes I got it right and sometimes the story had a twist. The length of the stories are perfect for younger ages of nine or ten but I think older kids would enjoy the book also. The illustrations that go with the stories sometimes made you think a particular story would be scarier than it actually was. Overall I enjoyed the book. It didn't take up a lot of time, I was done with it in one night!
