Summary: This is one of my favorite books!!
Review: I read a book called Double Act. This was one of the best books that I have ever read. It was funny, adventurous, and very much like real life. It was adventurous because the two main characters, Ruby and Garnet, who are identical twins, ask their dad (their mom is dead) if they can audition for a twin commercial, but he says no. Regardless of this, they go to New York and audition. It was funny because their dad met someone that they hate and they do funny things like confuse her, throw-up on her, etc. This is realistic because she made these two characters act how real twins act-I would know because I have a twin sister. Jacqueline wilson has a very unique writing style. she uses cliffhangers, and writes in a way that there is never a part whereit isn't interesting, boring or obvious. this is a book that you just can't put down! When you come acorss a book well-written, like this one, you say, "Mom, just let me finish this chapter I have just one more page to finish!" You really have three, but anything to read more of it! I suggest this book to anyone who like funny, adventurous, and realistic books.

Summary: Double Act
Review: The author of this book is Jacueline wilson. This book is about two twins named Ruby and Garnet that have probloms in there life. Some probloms they fix and some they dont. There dad also has a new girlfriend named Rose and she brings even more afliction into the family.

What i liked about the book was that the story was told by the twins. I think that if the story was told by the authors point of view it would be very tiresome. I think it was great that both of the twins got to write in the book because its fastidious to know somthing from two point of view.

I would rate this book a little under ok because it wasnt such an exciting book.I think this book should be for 5th graders cause its boring for older people.

Summary: double act by ashley and leanne
Review: The book we recently read and enjoyed was Double Act by Jaqueline wilson which we read with our class, 1m2. It is about two identical twins called Ruby and Garnet who live with there dad and gran because there mother died when they were young. Although they look the same they have two totally different personalities. Ruby is the loud and scruffy one and Garnet is the quiet and tidy one. Ruby wants to be an actress when she grows up so when Ruby sees an ad in the newspaper she jumps at the chance to go to it so she bullies Garnet into going with her. There is much heasitation but eventually Garnet gives in. We're not going to tell you any more so you better get reading!!!

Summary: the only reviewer from AMERICA!
Review: The only thing I liked about this book was that it reads fast- i got credit in school for reading the pages. What i didn't like was that on the back it says it shows kids what its like to be a twin. Even if you like this book, don't be fooled. I have friends WHO ACTUALLY ARE TWINS, and i read this with them. They gave me a list of about 50 stereotypes in this book that are not true. This is not a very sophisticated read, although I understand nine-year-old liking it. But once you turn the big 1-0, I reccommend you read Karen Hesse's "Out of the Dust."

Summary: A very good book
Review: The story is about Ruby and Garnet, the twins. Ruby is bossy and Garnet likes reading. They go through everything together. They lived with their Dad and Gran because their Mum had died. But when their Dad met a woman called Rose, their lives changed. Their gran moved into a flat. Their Dad announced that he had bought a bookshop, and so they moved house. They hated their new schools and Rose, so they wrote a letter to a boarding school to get in. Garnet thought she wouldn't get in, but she did and Ruby didn't, so they broke up. Ruby cut her hair to look different, but at the end they were friends.

Summary: another hit from Jacqueline Wilson
Review: This book is about twins called Ruby and Garnet. I liked this story for lots of reasons. I am interested in what life is like for twins. The story is written from the point of view of each twin - the twins take it in turns to narrate a chapter. I also enjoyed the different things going on in the story. Some parts are funny, other parts are a little sadder - Ruby and Garnet are not always happy to be identical twins. I couldn't put the book down - but then I am always like that with a Jacqueline Wilson book.
