Summary: The best book on strangers for young children
Review: I used this book about 6 years ago to help teach my child about "stranger danger". This book helps to teach about strangers without scaring children away from everyone and everything. All the Berenstain Books are definately worth reading to youngsters - they all teach a lesson or two in a very positive, easy to understand way that is suitable for a wide age range. Most of them also make excellent bedtime stories (I didn't think this one was good for bedtime) and often help children to open up about a subject and discuss what they are thinking or feeling. They are also very good First Books for the cild to read as they get older. I highly recommend this and all of the Berenstain Bears books. My child outgrew them and had given them away, so I am now purchasing a few to give as a Christmas present to a co-workers 3 year old who I think will enjoy them as much as my child did.

Summary: The Berenstain Bears Learn About Strangers
Review: In this book sister bear is very friendly. She likes to talk to everyone and everything. Brother bear tells her to stop talking to strangers and being so friendly to them.
But she questions him by saying "Why"? Brother bear tells her to go ask Papa bear that question. So then Papa bear showed the newspaper to her, that showed pictures of The Stranger Brothers Cub, Missing Cub found, Cub safety meeting, and Chief Grizzily Questions Strangers. All night while sister bear was trying to sleep those pictures and headings we running through her head. The next morning after all of that she did not want to go anywhere now. But then Mama Bear talked to her about strangers.
The lesson that this book teaches is not to talk to strangers or any other people you don't know. I think the age level for this book should be ages five and up. I really liked this book it can teach kids about strangers.

Summary: The Berenstain Bears Learn About Strangers
Review: My name is April. I live in Moosonee Ontario. I'm writing about The Berenstain Bears Learn about Strangers. Although there may not be that much strangers around where you live, I do believe your kids have the right to know about strangers. I just wanna say how I thought about the book. I thought it was great, it would probably be a great book to buy your kids. Even I liked the book. I felt like I learned a lot also. It's a pretty good example for those of yous that don't know what to tell your kids about strangers or just to scared to see their reaction. Then I recommend you read your kids this fabulous book. You can get it for only ( well my estimate is about $3.29). So that's all I have to write about this fantastic book.

Summary: What about the rest of the strangers?
Review: The book does teach children about what to do with strangers, but the view of strangers is not appropriate. They are all darkened men. A more developmentally-appropriate, anti-bias book would include strangers of all races, class, personality, and gender.

Summary: The Bernstien Bears Learn about strangers.
Review: This book is a little confusing for young, young children. It is nice for 6-10 year old kids. It tells a story about brother and sister bear who learn about strangers. Then the go outside and sister bear gets scared. When she comes homw Mama bear gives her a analogy about strangers using an apple. This book teaches that you shouldn't talk to strangers, but at the same time you don't have to be afraid of them.

Review: This book is about sister bear she likes to talk to anyone she sees. One day brother bear told sister bear to talk to her papa to see why your arent supposed to talk to strangers. Papa Bear has a long conversation to sister bear about it.This book has alot of Lessons:
1.Never Talk to a stranger

4.YOur body is your own personal property and nobody elses and noone elses buisness- espically the private ones.

5.Use you common sense. We cant have rules for everything. common sense is what keeps us safe by telling us what situations that are not covered by rules.

Summary: A Great Lesson In Strangers!
Review: This book is an amazing book. It first starts with Sister Bear talking to everyone she saw in her path. She told Papa Bear she talks to strangers. Papa said it's not a good idea. The lesson is, don't talk to strangers and don't go anywhere with strangers. Because of a mistake, Brother Bear talks to a stranger about his radio controlled airplane. But Sister Bear stopped him. My favorite part of this book is the back page, "Brother And Sister's Rules For Cubs." Kids should get this book because it's a very good lesson!

Summary: What about the rest of the strangers?
Review: This is a good book. My 5 year old son enjoyed the story, and the lessons that I wanted to convey about strangers (what is a stranger, stranger rules, etc.) were covered very well. The story shows how one can become too afraid as well as how one can be lured into leaving with a stranger. Children learn to be careful without being paranoid. Children also learn that "telling" is not the same as being a "tattletell".

We have enjoyed all 8 books that we purchased from this collection.
