Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Fun and Fast
Review: The Ultimate Rush is not serious literature. The author will never win a Nobel Prize for literature from this but it is a very fun book to read. The pace is fast and furious and the action is non-stop. Full of interesting characters and plenty of cliffhangers, The Ultimate Rush is a very entertaining work.

Summary: A real rush
Review: The ultimate rush is really a page turner. for a couple years this one is the first that made me feel riding a roller coaster while reading, no chance to put the book away once started.
I can`t wait to read the next book of this awesome writer.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: fun, young, hip thriller
Review: This book was great fun--it gives the feeling of being part of a hip underground subculture of skateboarders and bike messengers in San Francisco. It has a larger than life, cartoonish kind of feel.

Summary: A Really Fun Story
Review: This book was very well put together. The characters are funny and lovable. The story is exciting and comic all at once. I liked the whole idea behind the plot, and I loved the characters, all of them. "Cannon"'s ability to keep his head when his life is on the line is especially admirable, and HO is unique enough to be adorable. There is PLENTY of action and adventure in this book!

Summary: Fantasy of hacking - Juvenile Reading - Amusing, tough
Review: This book's a total fantasy about the underground World. The writer doesn't have a clue of what hacking or phreaking really is. Stereotypes. If you want to have some fun, this book is worth, and nothing else: Lot's of slangs, fast paced and predictive. Don't take all those 5-star ratings.

Summary: Two Thumbs Up.
Review: This is the way books should be written. Terrific fun, terrific characters, wild sensational chases, hilarious dialogue, charged writing style. You can tell the writer loves every minute of writing this book. Unputdownable, extremely fast ride, and descriptions that manage to be precise bug not bogged down. I want to find another book in this genre-- are there any? Is UR the first of a new kind of book? Can't wait for the movie to come out and even more impatient for Joe Quirk's second book. Left me with a big grin. I would love to meet Joe Quirk

Summary: An Ultimate Listen!
Review: This was a solid bit of thriller audio-fare. The main character is a hacking-addicted roller-blader who was caught when he was a Jeuvie, and now faces life without a machine. But the ache to hack is rising in him.

When he roller-blades as a courier, Chet Griffin is handed some really harsh information, and when something goes wrong, he, the girl he's falling for, and pretty much anyone he contacts is marked for death. Corrupt cops, internet-police, and the mafia all come racing after Chet, who might just have found "the Ultimate Rush" after all - if only he can survive it.

Anthony Rapp's voice is familiar to anyone who has heard the "Rent" CDs from the musical - he's Mark. So his voice took a little getting used to as a hip, anti-establishment roller-hacker phone phreak. It did carry well, and his slight accents for other characters didn't dissolve into terrible stereotype. Like many abridged audios, this one was really hectic in pace, and I'm tempted to go grab the book itself now.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This was an exceptional book, IMHO. I bought the book on tape (abriged), and Anthony Rapp is the perfect narrator. "No day but today."
