Rating: Summary: Un-put-downable! Review: I only wish I had never read this book so that I could start over and read it anew. Ben Bradford is everyman who thinks he's got it made but takes an irreversible step to total upheaval of everything he knows. In doing so, he employs all his cunning and formidable talents to cover his tracks and as a contingency, lay false trails. The hard part is, as the reader, one finds oneself in the dilemma of being torn between wanting to see him caught but also hoping he gets away. The pitfalls, the lucky and unlucky breaks he encounters along the way make for a guaranteed page-turner. Take the phone off the hook, cancel plans, don't answer the door bell. You won't be able to put this book out of your hands.
Rating: Summary: Superb suspense story! Review: Though I've read this book a few months ago I'm just now reviewing it. If you're looking for a fast moving page turner, this is the book for you! Doug Kennedy has you hooked from the opening chapter. Ben & Beth Bradford live in the typical yuppie setting, a big house in Connecticut, a beautiful baby son & all the trappings of wealth. From the beginning it becomes clear that Beth is a cold fish, and whenever Ben tries to talk things over with her she's not interested. Before long Ben realizes she is cheating on him, but with whom? When he finds out, he has a confrontation with this man that will drastically change the course of his life. Ben winds up on the run, changing his identity in the process and the action never lets up. Very highly recommended, along with Kennedy's next novel, The Job.
Rating: Summary: Very Good To Excellent Review: I enjoyed this book from page one all the way to the end. It was not the most thrilling book, but very interesting and very well written. The main charactor narrates throughout making it very easy to understand. A great story and another excellent book by Douglas Kennedy. Read The Job if you have not read it yet. Kennedy is a great writer. Can't wait for his next book.
Rating: Summary: Like Hitchcock Review: As in many great Hitchcock films, the hero of The Big Picture is an ordinary guy who gets himself in hot water and sees his whole life turned upside down. Also as in a Hitchcock film,we're really rooting for this guy(who could be you or me)and we keep following the story through its twists and turns to find out what happens next. This novel is well written and believable and well worth your time and your dollar.
Rating: Summary: Douglas Kennedy Grabs By the Throat Review: The Big Picture tells the story of a man, who, out of rage, destroys his successful life. From then on, the suspense never stops. It's filled with action and white-knuckled suspense. You'll find yourself rooting for the protagonist out loud. Do yourself a favor and read this book! Douglas Kennedy is a MASTER AUTHOR and STORYTELLER
Rating: Summary: Brilliant Writing Review: I see all these negative reveiws of this book, to me it was a true work of art. The way that Douglas Kennedy keeps you on the edge of your seat is awesome. And the ending left a little to be desired but it was good. I could not put this book down once i started it. Please feel free to email me or send a reply to what you thought of this book. I would like to hear from other people.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Read! Review: One of the best books I've read in a long time. I couldn't put it down. Douglas Kennedy is a brilliant author! His characters are so real and it makes you wonder if it was based on a true story. A must read!

Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: I read The Job first, which was a great book! A must read too. I was skeptical when I read what the story was about. It took a while for me to get into the plot, but once I was about 1/4 way in, I was hooked. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. What a great book.
Rating: Summary: the best book I read this year Review: This book is great dont hesitate just buy i
