Summary: You will finish the book
Review: I had to finish it- even though I knew exactly what would happen. He grabbed me at the beginning and I looked forward to reading my book every night. Then, he just lost me and I found Acts of Faith to be predictable and at times, boring. The religious aspect, traditions, rituals... were all interesting, however, the storyline became long and drawn out. I could see why some might like it but personally, I need a few more twists and a bit more excitement. It's another book to put on the shelf that may or may not be a conversation piece one day.

Summary: An interesting twist on love and religion
Review: I would recommend this book if you would like to learn more about Judiasm and Christianity while reading a great book! A bit dull at times though. But it says a lot about love and passion.

Summary: And I thought "Jepthe's Daughter" was preposterous!
Review: I'm going to go out on a limb here and be a heretic by disagreeing with the other reviewers of this book. I thought it was an utter piece of trash. The book was entirely predictable. I knew from the third chapter that the Catholic Timothy would become a priest and he'd fall in love with the Jewish Deborah who would be tossed out of the family home by her one-dimensional father. In fact, I found all of the characters to be disagreeable, the plot tedious and the manipulation of religion to suit the storyline distasteful.

I suppose if you are looking for a good laugh, this book might be interesting. I, however, didn't even find it funny. I found myself exclaiming out loud "Oh come on! That's ridiculous!" at multiple times as the book progressed. If you value your time, don't waste it on this book.

Summary: ** Easy to read, follow, understand and indentify with **
Review: If there is someone who can describe the extremes of the Jewish and Christian religions it's Erich Segal. His knowledge in those fields is amazing. Segal gives intresting and amazing facts about the extreme Jewish way of life, things that me, as a secular Jewish person have never known. He has definately broadened my knowledge in that area. And for that I must thank him. Besides that, Segal's book is surprisingly easy to follow, and so intresting you wouldn't want to put it down. It has contributed to my life a lot, has given me a lot to think about, and I would recommend it to just about anyone

Summary: One of my all time favorite books
Review: My all time favorite books, a little slow in the middle but well worth the wait

Summary: BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ
Review: This book kept me turning pages faster than you can imagine. It was unbeleivable, the way that Daniel, Deborah and Timothy met as kids, going through their lives, their sad moments, thier moments of passion. As a 16 year old I am encouraged to read and this book is on my list for my cousins birthday, its great!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: one of the most attaching books you could ever fall upon
Review: this is a book about tolerance, faith, introspection, looking for oneself, and finding oneself; in a very innocent atmosphere, you are dragged in what is one of the big contemporary problems: faith v/s love.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Of religion and choices
Review: This is one of the best novels of all times. The theme is religion in its myriad hues. And, there is love, that ubiquitous synonym for Erich Segal. What I admire is the non-judgmental tone Segal adopts when dealing with the dictates of religion. Tim thinks he wants to be the pope till apocalypse strikes him. Dan rejects being a rabbi when he is expected to. But chooses to be one when he wants to. Religion and choices - what an interesting combo! The father-son reunion is vintage Segal, reminiscent of Man, Woman and Child. Acts of Faith definitely makes you think and profoundly, too.
