Rating: Summary: One of the best descriptive dragnets ever! Review: The third novel featuring Sgt. Boldt shows that Pearson is getting better and better! The bus ride/trap was so suspensfull that it was hard to read in one sitting.
The characters are so believable, and after reading all three, and following
each character, they become almost family.
My husband and I are looking forward to the next Boldt mystery
Rating: Summary: hard to put down Review: This author is one of the best. I could hardly put this book down. Ridley really knows how to write. He has got your interest from the very first page.I have read some of his other books & they are all just as great. I recomend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery or crime story.
Rating: Summary: Good, but not great. Nothing original. Review: This book is reasonably entertaining. The plot is fairly good and it is suspenseful in places. There is nothing new here though; it is a pretty standard cops v. serial killer novel. The book should have been edited better; there are a few scenes towards the beginning of the book that are very poorly written and repetitive. Overall though, not bad.
Rating: Summary: BOLDT IS GOOD!!! Review: This is a pretty good read. Much better than Angel Maker. Some one is killing people, even whole families. Pearson writes a good story, some places go into to much detail for me, that is the reason for the four instead of a five. All in all I enjoyed the book. Everytime I thought I had it figured out a new twist would show up and here we went again. The book is hard to put down and the ending is very good. I really like the characters of Boldt and LaMoia. They make a good pair.
Rating: Summary: Pearson at his best! Review: This is by far the best crime novel I have ever read. Fans of Thomas Harris will love this book, it's just fantastic.
If you like a detailed search, fast read action; then this book will grab you by your throat at once. Once you've started, it's impossible to put this book down.
Rating: Summary: The best Pearson I've read yet Review: This is the fourth book by Ridley Pearson I've read, and I found it the best. I just finished "The First Victim" and while it was also very enjoyable, I found "No Witnesses" better. The central figure in this series, Lou Boldt, reminds me a lot of the policemen Delaney in Lawrence Saunders early "Deadly Sin" books from the 70's (before he began writing the shallow "McNally" stuff), which also included well-rounded characters, and were an engrossing read. I'm looking forward to the next adventure of Boldt and LaMoia!
Rating: Summary: nothing special Review: This is very mediocre serial murder mystery from Ridley Pearson. That's not to say it won't occupy your time and provide a simple diversion, but it won't leave you with much more than that. You can read a couple chapters and put it down and not really be driven to pick it up for a couple weeks or longer. And when you do, you won't have really forgotten anything important because there is little complexity and it's very straightforward.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't put it down! Review: What a great book! This was my first book by Ridley Pearson - I can't wait to read the rest of them.
Rating: Summary: Gripping Review: With a brisk pace and a stunning evocative power that ranks it up there with 'The Triumph and the Glory' and 'The Devil's Teardrop', this exceptional novel fulfilled all of my expectations from beginning to end. It was one of the best books I've read in the last year, a book well worth your consideration.
Rating: Summary: Ridley Pearson does it again!!!!! Review: With No Witnesses, Ridley does it again he shows his versitillity with characters and plots. Boldt and Mattews are evolving with each page and every story. The technical aspect with this story is excellent
