Summary: WORTHWHILE
Review: Airport was the first Hailey book I read. The first thing that caught my attention was the easy way in which the author had brought down his characters.Normal and downto earth they make you wish you were one of them.Thrilling, exiting and imaginative it is one of the books I read whenever I feel like it. I recommend another book by the same author "MONEY CHANGERS" which will give the same exitement.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Makes me wish to see Lincoln International
Review: Almost all my friends who read the book dreamt of becoming airport managers for a few days after that. There can be no greater tribute to Hailey. Unlike many authors, like Mario Puzo, who have written just 1 epic and faded away Hailey has maintained his standard of research & story telling in almost all of his books(except for Overload & Evening News)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You'll find your pulse racing
Review: Arthur Hailey has compiled his thoughts of the disasters that can occur at an international airport and about the people who deal with it behind the scenes, for most of us who will never even come close to a similar scenario. It's an amazing way of getting one's dream close to reality.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A fast , racy book , vividly described.
Review: Arthur Hailey has outdone himself in this fast , racy , book . The logistics of maintaining and operating an international airport have been described in painstaking detail. This book is a must for all travellers.

Summary: Not to be Forgotten
Review: Arthur Hailey's novel Airport is surely the book for you, The story of one night that wouldn't quit. The book immediately grabs your attention with the lost United food truck somewhere in the blizzard. Slowly, at first, the reader is introduced to the problems facing the main characters and one by one they start to get solved. Not an easy feat, however, with a witty stowaway, a phsychotic bomber, an arrogant pilot, and even a suicidal radar operator. The airport manager, Mel Bakersfeld, certainly has his hands full! The storm continues, the plot thickens, and the reader can't put the book down. I suggest you get yourself a copy and enjoy an exciting night at Lincoln International Airport

Summary: Big Fun
Review: As an avid reader I like to alternate classics and popular fiction. This is pop at its best! Mr.Hailey mixes suspense with a journalistic approach to his subject in this case, the airline industry of the early 1970's. The "you are there" feeling puts you right into the middle of the action.

Summary: Bring Your Boarding Pass
Review: Called a potboiler in its time: Sex, sin, stowaways and a mad bomber, all crammed into one long night at a 1970s snowbound airport stands the test of time. Hailey's meticulous attention to detail with regard to every aspect of the story including the inner workings of an international airport under stress in that decade demand the reader's attention. The plot revolves around a beleaguered airport manager juggling a failing marriage and a crisis on location, his arrogant and philandering pilot brother in law, an out of work man teetering over into desperation and how their paths cross on one dangerous night. Absorbing and thrilling, even after all this time.

Summary: A great novel, which is a MUST for all.
Review: For anybody who has ever wondered what goes on behind closed doors at an airport must read Hailey's masterpiece; Airport. It involves many unvolding plots throughout, and at the finale all intertwine into a great climax. One of the best thriller books ever written.

Summary: A gripping, thrilling, very enjoyable read
Review: I found this book by chance and wasn't sure whether it would be worth reading. I decided to give it a try... Soon, I was caught up in the book. I just couldn't put it down, I was so eager to find out what would happen next. The book takes you behind the scenes in an airport in the 1970's and shows you all the things you normally don't get to see or even hear about. You get to a point where you care about the characters, and it's important to find out what happens to them... All in all, I really recommend this book, it's definitely worth reading.

Summary: suprising...a rich, fast-paced, and well-crafted yarn!
Review: i recently found a copy of Airport in my father's archives. I glanced into it for a few pages and never stopped! Hailey expertly weaves a complex and fascinating web of intrigue and excitement. Let's be honest, who thought that a novel about a damn airport could be exciting? Well it is, and then some. A super hunk of brain-candy, stellar, I loved it!
