Rating: Summary: It's getting old Mr. Jaques... Review: I could stomach Pearls of Lutra. The Long Patrol was so-so at best. By the time I hit Marlfox, I was sick to death of the same plot...you've got the rhyme, the evil and horrible vermin, the cute but annoying Dibbun, the brave hero with Martin's sword(who is NEVER a female), and the Zen master abbot/abbess. I've heard that *Legend of Luke* is much better, but it'll take a lot more to get me to read it than Mossflower or The Bell Maker.
Rating: Summary: Absoballylutely Top Hole!!!! Review: This is one of the best books I've ever read. In fact, all of Brian Jacques' books are. His books were my first introduction into the world of anthropomorphics, and I couldn't thank him enough. He's an excellent person to know in real life, as well. I would recommend this for *anyone*, readers of all ages.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books written this year. Review: The book is one of his greatist books yet. You should read it When I read it I could not put it down,it was good!
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Read !!!!!!!! Review: Marlfox is a brilliant book written by a great author. I have every Redwall book except fo two of them. This book is a must read and if you haven't already read it, read it! If you have read it, Read it again!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Great book Review: Good boo
Rating: Summary: A decent book Review: Marlfox was okay. It wasn't nearly as good as the earlier Redwall books. The plot, what little of one there is, is extremely similar to previous books, only with less of the enchanting elements. The characters were all horribally undeveloped and didn't have much of personalities. And the little personality they had was kind of wussy. I don't reccomend it to most Redwall fans.
Rating: Summary: Jacques New Book Is EXTREMELY Good!!! Review: I just read this book and WOW! It blew me away! Jacques has the gift to take a familiar plot, and make it seem totally different. From the evil Marlfoxes to the cheerful Noonvale players, Jacques astounded me. I highly reccomend this book.
Rating: Summary: Mind-boggling! Review: If you're a Jacques fan, you definitely should read this. This is an amazing story that is packed with action, adventure and comedy. I give this book five stars with tons of admiration. No fan should be without!
Rating: Summary: Great Fiction Review: This is the one book that I might definetly be able to put down as the best Redwall ever. It is very nice to have children as the heroes in this book. They embark on an adventure and have very little help from "adults". That is on thing that makes this book so very, very good.
Rating: Summary: Redwall Is Still Good!!!!!! Review: I loved all of the Redwall books. Marlfox was good, but Brian Jaques is using the same plot in all the redwall books. A young hero uses martin's sword and wins a battle against evil vermin, and an old, lovable creature gets killed. And there is almost always an old rhyme that tells the young creature what it should do. I still liked Marlfox and couldn't stop reading, but Redwall would be better if Brian Jaques thought of a new plot.
