Summary: THE Best series ever!
Review: Hey, my name is Dana. I absolutley LOVE the Redwall series. They are immensly intriguing. I found all 11 of them very difficult to put down. I bring my books with me everywhere. I, honestly, have read all of them atleast 2 or 3 times, some of them 4! Brian Jacques is the main writer who's inspired me to become a writer myself, through his work. I hope he continues to write more & more great storys. I have no doubt in my mind that he will!

Summary: easily 5 stars
Review: This book is my favorite out of all the Redwall books I have read so far. Marlfox kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time and never got boring. But how come Redwall always wins? The enemy should win sometimes.I wish it would be like that for once but this book is still great.

Summary: Same old Redwall formula
Review: As a young middle schooler I was a rabid Redwall fan, and would read any of the books as soon as they were released. Now that I am in high school, I picked up this book (my father is a librarian) and started reading it. As I was reading I realized that Brian Jacques falls back on old formulas for this book, and there isn't too much new content. The plot was fairly easy to predict, and the book turned me off from the series as a whole, as I realized they have become static. There is a always a giant horde of vermin led by some purely evil leader, while back at Redwall several heroes are introduced, one of which is related to (fill in name here) the warrior mouse. They end up going on some strange adventure, while meanwhile back at the abbey yet another ancient riddle is solved. The abbey is eventually alerted to the threat, and there is a giant battle which the good guys always win at the sacrifice of one of the main characters. Alternate books with badgers and guosim shrews making appearances, and you have a Redwall book. Another thing that bothers me about this series is that there is a too clearly defined line between good and evil. The vermin are always bad, and the abbey goers aer always good. Each race never has a deviant member, (except in Outcast) and you can always expect things from characters this way, which i think encourages stereotypes.

On the other hand, Jacques always does a spectacular job with his detail, and the world is so well defined because of all the books that have been written to embelish it. Of course, if you want a positive review, you can read any of the other ones.

Summary: Good, but not that good
Review: There are a number of things that I do not like about this book; the lack of any major battles (like the one in "The Long Patrol"), the absence of hares, etc. This book is definitely not as good as others in the series. It was somewhat of a disapointment. I would not reccomend it to anyone but a true Redwall fan. If you are new to the series, read "Redwall" instead.

Summary: One of the best in the series!
Review: I've read all of the Redwall books and I have to say that Marlfox is one of the best in the series! I think I liked it so much because it's so humorous, especially in the character of Florian. I can't believe this is the 11th book in the series and I still had the same sense of excitement in reading it that I did when I read the first book. Even though all the books have obvious similarities, Jacques manages to keep things fresh. I'm saving all the books for my kids, I think they'll love them when they're old enough to read! (Oh, I should probably mention that I'm a 32-year-old Redwall fan! LOL!)

Summary: Incredible plot, incredible characters, incredible everything
Review: Brian Jacques is an astounding writer. I aspire to be a writer, and just reading a passage from his books is a fountain of inspiration. The man is a genius. He weaves intrigue, action, and a million other facets of great writing like someone long ago wove the Tapestry. My friend once had the pleasure of meeting him, and Mr. Jacques was nice and very patient, even if he had been at the book signing for two and a half hours. I am absolutely enthralled by this series, and I rush to the nearest bookstore immediately when one of his new books come out. I must commend you on this book Mr. Jacques, because it was one of your best. A final word: EVERYONE SHOULD READ REDWALL

Summary: This is one of the best books in existance!
Review: Marlfox was a wonderful book. It was very creative. I love how he uses the rhymes to help the characters figure out how they are supposed to win or find something. I suggest that everyone read these series of books. It is very cool how he makes the characters voices. In this book, Florian is very crazy. Baby Dwopple is a horrible little brat if you ask me. This was much better than some of the other books (not all of them). So if you don't read these books I think you are really missing out on something.

Summary: Pretty good, but not perfect.
Review: This was a very good book, though the vermin leader isn't as cruel as usual. The other vermin are great though! (I'm a vermin lover) Redwall isn't very orderly, there not being an abbott/abbess. Overall, it's pretty good, though.

Summary: Could a book be any better?
Review: I simply LOVE the Redwall Books. They're my favorite! Excellent! Absoballylutely top-hole! I can read these books over and over, and I still can't put them down! I would rate 1,000 stars, but the list doesn't have that many.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Marlfox is probably the best Redwall book in print.
Review: Marlfoxes are roaming the Mossflower Wood. Brian Jacques describes the reality of the book wonderfully. It is a story of how truth triumphs over evil. A part that stands out to me is the battles at Redwall Abbey. For instance, the Marlfoxes kidnapped the mousebabe Dwopple. It then turns into complete pandamonium, resulting in wars. But I won't tell anymore. Read it for yourself.
