Summary: RIVETING!
Review: The book Marlfox is about a group of mystical foxes who travelto Redwall Abbey in hopes of plundering and taking over. Their planis to take their treasure back to Castle Marl for their evil and greedy mother. Can the simple country folk of Redwall survive this vicious attack? What I really like about this book is the fact that the plot twists around and has you thinking one thing but something totaly different occurs. I also like how the author goes onto such detail describing the great feasts that Redwall often has. This is a wonderful book with deliteful characters, I give it a full five stars. I would recommend this tale to people of any age who love adventure and comedy.

Review: This book was a very exciting book. It's full of action andsome drama. It also has alot of war and violence. Eventhough there'sviolence it is still and enjoyable book that I couldn't put down. I would recommend this book to teenagers and up. I don't think a little kid should read it because of the violence.

Review: I really liked this book. It is one of my favorites in the series. It was very unpredictable and i liked how he ditched using mice a lot and used an almost all squirrel-hedgehog-shrew-mole cast, and i liked how it said at the end that the Noonvale players were going to make it into a play. I liked how it connected the Urthwyte's island from Salamandastron with this book. I reccomend it!

Summary: Another Great Read by Brian Jaques
Review: Following in the tradition of his previous books Brian Jaques starts off this delightful adventure with a whole knew set of characters. The part that Brian readers will most enjoy is the connection between this book and the other books, allowing the reader to travel along with characters in their adventures. The apperance of the Marlfoxes brings in a mystery and gives the experianced Redwall reader a chance to quess to how they began. At the first introduction of these creatures I began to wish for a history on these fine characters. I sincerely hope thatt Jaques gives us a book compiling the Marlfox history. The one low point in the book was the carelessness of the abbey dwellers toward their children. They seem to be unconcerned with the younger ones(dibbuns), although this may be put in because of the days of peace that everyone at Redwall Abbey has experianced. Overall I recommend this to all Redwall fans as a way to explore farther into Mossflower. For those starting out on the series though I would suggest an earlier book that gives more background into the tale.

Summary: One of the worst in the series
Review: I have been a fan of the Redwall franchise since '96 or '97. I've read all of them, but I have to say this is one of the worst in the series. It's like reading Mattimeo (one of the best ones) again, except it's a lot more boring and very predictable. Another thing is the characters, they aren't very appealing, like Florian, he's kind of like Jar Jar from Star Wars. Also, the parent's in this book seem like they did not care about their kids exploring alone. I mean, they hardly talk about them, What's up with that? And another thing. Why does every adventure (excluding the ones with Martin the Warrior) have to take place in the land of Mossflower? Jacques has to expand to some foreign land, or something. The only reason I that I would recommend this book would be to fill in the gap between the 10th and 12th novels.

Summary: A Treasured Series
Review: Don't be fooled by the recommended reader's age on this one -- it is a delight for adults who sometimes want the charm of a simple, wholesome book to read.

Marlfox was the first of this series that I read and I am, with time for appreciation between books working my way through the others in the series.

Yes, the books follow a pattern, but the generations of Redwallers pass on and new ones take their place, so some of the old are retained with the new.

Write on Mr. Jacques! Write on!
