Rating: Summary: The best series ever! Review: About two weeks ago I read Mossflower. I loved it so much that I started reading Redwall right after. Now I am on the third book, Mattimeo. I like these books because they have something for everyone. They have battles, riddles, jokes, great feasts, good sayings, and much, much, more. As a recomendation, I say every body who can stand the gore and has a high reading level should read this series. I like the series so much, that I am going to read all twelve books in the series.
Rating: Summary: Not for just younger children Review: the reading level given for this book is ages 9-12. i must disagree. when i was younger (9-12) and i read these books, i didnt know what many of the descriptive and eloquent terms Jaques uses meant.also, the books are very violent (definitely not for younger readers). i am not degrading his books, i love them, but amazon should raise its age level, possibly to 10-17.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME BOOK YET AGAIN Review: This book is great! The plot, characters, and adventerous atmosphere of the book are so exciting you will never put this book down. But the only annoying thing is how Brian Jacques always describes the food. A new evil is lurking in Mossflower- the marlfoxes. they are a brutal clan of foxes who all kill eachother so they can be king. As usual the heroes go off and try and save the abbey, but the not so good fighters are attacked by a marlfox and his army. This is basically the plot for most of the books but they are still great. So just read the book.
Rating: Summary: Oh my gosh it's so great, so very very very very very GREAT! Review: It's true that marlfox does follow the usual Redwall pattern, but that can be a plus if you like that pattern. I do. Besides, the pattern may be usual, but it is still interesting because you don't know who dies (except the bad guys, but I'm taliking about the good ones) and who doesn't die. I wish Mr. Jaques would write another book about these characters. Some of my favorite characters are as follows: Song, Dann, Dippler, and Burble. I really enjoyed this book and I think anyone who didn't has no taste and is completely insane.
Rating: Summary: Brian writes another great book! Review: This book is a very grand one to own! This is a very excellent book for kids to adults. It is an epic tale about how the Redwallers, once again, defeat their enemies, the Marlfoxes. The Marlfoxes are known as magical silver foxes that can dissapear in the wink of your eye. These foxes live in a Castle Marl, on an island in The Hidden Lake, just to the southeast of Redwall. There are still eight Marlfoxes that live there, the Queen and her seven sons and daughters. Six of these sons and daughters take off in search of magestic items to bring back to their mom, the Queen, and guess where they head off to? Redwall! They will do any thing to get Redwalls treasures. They even stole a dibbun babe and tried to bargan the babe for treasure, but of course the Redwallers outsmarted the Marlfoxes and their followers, the water rats, They got their dibbun back. The Redwallers wern't that smart though. The Marlfoxes,an their evil followers made a surprise attack and stole Redwalls most precious item. I better not tell you what it is otherwise I might give the story away. Anyway, three of the Abbey's young warriors go on an expedition to find the treasure that Redwall most adores. You must read the book to find out the whole story, and see what happens to the great young warriors! Also read Brian's other books; The Legend of Luke, Mossflower, Martin the Warrior, The outcast of Redwall, Salamandastron, The Bellmaker, Mariel of Redwall, Redwall, Mattimeo, Pearls of Lutra, and The Long Patrol. I enjoyed every one of them and hope that if you read them you will enjoy them too.
Rating: Summary: The best one yet Review: Out of all the redwall books, (and I have read allmost all of them)this one is the best
Rating: Summary: a living saga Review: this book although excellent is not as good as some of the others {martin the warrior} it lacks the time setting of the others. What I mean is that in this time most of the redwallers are either dibbuns or elders. I did like the hare florian though. He was new.
Rating: Summary: really coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read! Brian Jacques is really good at description of characters. It's amazing how he can come up with all the rhymes, poems, and songs. The books are also really humorous, which is cool. This is a great fantasy book. I reccommend it for anyone.
Rating: Summary: Marlfox Review: A richly imagined world inhabited by strange creatures and strange happenings.A great sequel to his Red wall series, I couldn't put it down. I had not expected such a interesting story and yet, it is the most interesting one I have ever read
Rating: Summary: RIVETING! Review: The book Marlfox is about a group of mystical foxes who travel to Redwall Abbey in hopes of plundering and taking over. Their plan is to take the treasure back to Castle Marl for their evil and greedy mother. Can the simple country folk of Redwall survive this vicious attack? What I really like about this book is the fact that the plot twists around and has you thinking one thing, but something totally different occurs. I also like how the author goes onto such detail describing the great feasts that Redwall often has. This is a wonderful book with deliteful characters, I give it a full five stars. I would recommend this tale to people of any age who love adventure and comedy.
