Summary: Strained, One Meant For the Longtime Reader
Review: This installment of the Redwall series is one where it seemed more like he was writing for his fans other than for the fun of it. Unimaginative without much new things to it and a somewhat boring conclusion. This one will likely be added to all fans collections and then forgotten on the shelf. Though it does answer some questions to the building of Redwall Abbey and more about the island in the middle of the Great Inland Lake. It is placed after The Long Patrol, where there is neither Abbot or Abbey Warrior and suddenly the Marlfoxes appear and steal the great tapestry of Martin. Four youths will set out to recover the trapestry with a few adventures on the way. Meanwhile back at the Abbey a Marlfox has been killed and and all out war breaks loose. The abbeydwellers must know fight for their lives with the help of The Traveling Noonvale Players and Jangular Swifteye, an old sleepy-eyed warrior. What will they do? Find out but I'd only read it if you are a true fan of Redwall.

Summary: A must-read!
Review: I love all of Jacques's books, and this is one of the best! Great storyline and characters. Like in all the books, I feel like I actually know them! The only flaw was the absence of the long patrol. Then again, he wrote a book devoted th that, so I shouldn't talk. :-)

Summary: This book is great
Review: Marlfox is one of the best Redwall Books! There are many good points with an incredible amount of action and excitment. All in all One of the best Redwall Books.

Summary: Excellent, Mr. Jacques at his BEST!!!!
Review: This is an excellent book filled with adventure and fun. I enjoyed the plot, the characters, and everything else. It brings a new twist to Redwall and adds a couple of new characters, such as the watervole, the osprey and Malfoxes. I enjoy both the vermin and the Redwallers. One tip for BJ though... there should have been something to do with Salamandastron. It would probably enhance the plot. This book leaves you at the edge of your seat and I would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: JACQUES DOES IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Marlfox kept us on the edge of our seats and we were constantly entertained. Never before have we experienced such evil vermin as the Marlfoxes. Jacques puts Redwall in a time of great danger with very few warriors to defend the Abbey and no Abbot or Abbess to guide it. To find how this story ends, buy the book and read it. We liked our UK cover of Marlfox better than the USA cover.

Summary: I thought this book was great.
Review: I have read all of the books about redwall except for Redwall because I cant find it, but every time a new one comes out by Brian Jaques, I get it and read it. My mom knew how much I love these books, so when she saw the Marlfox come out, she picked it up for me. I read it within 4 days, and this story was very excitng. It's about how 4 young animals, two squirrels, a shrew, and a watervole, go after the marlfoxes, who are supposed to be magical, to get the great tapestry of Redwall back after it has been stolen by the Marlfoxes. They go through many rough times, but keep on going. If you ever read Salamandastrom, you would have read about the huge lake with a island in the middle. Well, the island is back, but this time haunted by the evil marlfoxes. I loved this story, and I think you would to if you like fantasy and adventure.

Summary: Great book! Brian Jacques never fails to entertain me!
Review: Superb book! Great plot that rolls along on a comfortable speed. The characters are so great and the dialogue fits them perfectly. I definitely suggest Mr Jacques' work, and Marlfox in particular, to anyone in search for a good, amusing book.

Summary: EXTRODINARY! I couldn't put it down!
Review: Jacques has done it again! I've read all of his other books several times, and now I just can't wait for another. The three (or four) heros of the book are very realistic. I can almost see the world that this master has created.
